Settlement Method In ISO20022 (Part 3) Quick Recap, So far we have understood settlement method code "INGA","INDA" ,"CLRG" and their use cases. Let's understand the 4th code "COVE". COVE : For this we will refer below diagram. Now in case of cover payments the same settlement method code gets reflected in pacs.009 COV messages that travel from Bank A to Bank B as the concept of who is responsible for the settlement is the same as we discussed in last two pots. The pacs.008 message from Bank A to Bank B that contains the information that a payment is coming, has the settlement method COVE meaning the actual settlement is getting done through the cover payment.
