Congratulations to Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) inventors William Valmus, Chelsea Gibson, and David Sracic who were granted US Patent # 12,147,382 B1 yesterday titled “Method and System for Assimilating and Managing Software Artifact Metadata”. This invention describes a method to manage the metadata from disparate data sources when a large software project is created in the modern DevSecOps paradigm. The “artifact” can be any part of the project that is input to the program such as data, source code, config files and more. Essentially the system in this invention gathers, tracks and normalizes all the inputs to the project. Key to this invention is a data Universal Data Converter to control the database. Who are the beneficiaries of the KSPA (Kyiv School of Public Administration) programs and projects? All those who influence the processes of state-building and who manage processes at various levels during critical points of a state's evolutionary development. Our programs do not differentiate between the public or corporate sector; instead, they are designed for decision-makers who shape the modern agenda. While expanding the scope of our educational programs, we do not transform into a business school. Rather, we consciously create a management track for the active involvement of civil society, military personnel and veterans, youth, and businesses in the state-building process. This synergy of shared responsibility is one of the most important goals in a democratic state, which we are rebuilding now, without the right to a second chance.

Five ways those of us in K-12 can make November 11-November 15 a great week: 1) Consider our veterans. These men & women choose to make our collective safety one of their highest priorities. In a selfish world, our military runs on self-sacrifice. We can learn something from that & must emphasize it to our students. 2) Expect people to fall short of our expectations & for us to fall short of theirs. Others upset us; we upset others. It is on us all to grant and accept grace. 3) Remind yourself that angry parents are usually fearful parents. They love & want to protect their children (& I maintain this beats being absent). 4) Commit to doing the things only you can do--& to doing them well. (Can someone make your copies, draft your newsletter, organize your manipulatives, etc.?) 5) Read or listen to a "boosting book" intended for all humans, not just educators.
