What does our Swire Hotels’ Employee Value Proposition “The Difference is You!” mean? While this may sound as yet another “company Value statement” of embracing a diverse group of individuals at workplace, it goes much deeper and much more personal for me. For the last 5+ years here, I have experienced some truly inspirational moments: 1. Leader here embrace our growth. I have like 4-5 of conversations about my career thoughts and paths every year with very senior people in the company, and I truly appreciate them. 2. All team members here in Hong Kong are genuine and … vulnerable, in a very positive way. They are really ready to open up about life and sharing ups and downs. While no teams or individuals are perfect, and they are bound to have a real level of turnover or struggle at times, the overall embrace of these highs and lows, and the bonding thus created, are remarkable. (Of course we also share jokes, food, travel and sports stuff every day). 3. The teams at various hotels are so creative and amazingly focused at serving our customers well. I’m forever grateful for hosting all the parties in the hk hotels , Miami nba jersey, middle house special food, temple house hosting my parents with personalized tea gifts and calligraphies (both being my mum and dad’s personal favourites), and I’m currently enjoying my two stays in Beijing as I’m typing this note. 4. And finally the legal team, who fully embraced me as a … let’s call it very different lawyer or person than a lot of the legal industries’ people they had met. The daily acceptance from you guys are the true reason why I’m driving hard. And this includes all the interns that we have met and learnt from as well. Perhaps a lot of companies talk about a culture or a value – and they go ahead and find the people that fits to those value. I used to believe in this as well. The way Swire Hotels however has now chosen is to humble itself as a ‘legal person’/company, and let the people direct the company. Let the people and each individual to shine and be themselves. This is no doubt much harder and a very ambitious goal especially when it comes to unity and inclusivity. However , For I have experienced so much love here from all of you to embrace me as an individual, this has also now become a personal goal of myself now, to continue bring the best every day at work and in life, to be part of the team to inspire to think differently and bring out “the Difference is You!” life to our guests, teams, and partners.
Do you want to be a part of a company where you can make a difference? At Swire Hotels, your individuality is what sets us apart from the others. Be empowered to make every workday a fun-filled adventure. Become part of a team where you fuel each other's inspiration to challenge the status quo. When you join our team, you’re not just filling a role – you’re owning it. No scripts, just freedom to be extraordinary. Rest assured, we've got your back. Ready to make a difference? A Lunch in Phnom Penh – A Lesson in Appreciation I’m currently enjoying a vacation in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Today, during a private city tour, I did something small but meaningful: I invited our guide and driver to lunch. I asked them to find a local, non-touristic spot, and they eagerly agreed. As we sat together, sharing a meal and stories, the guide remarked that this was unusual—not just that I invited them, but especially that the driver was included. They were surprised because, in their world, the driver often goes unnoticed. That comment stayed with me. I explained to them how, in my professional life at IKEA, I work closely with home delivery teams, and I know the importance of involving the people who are on the frontlines. Drivers are more than just workers; they are the face of the company, our ambassadors. They represent our values every time they greet a customer or deliver a package. Hearing this, they both smiled and thanked me sincerely, but in truth, I was the one who felt grateful. Grateful for the reminder that no matter where you are in the world, recognizing and valuing the contributions of every individual—especially those often overlooked—can leave a lasting impact. This experience isn’t just about a lunch. It’s a reflection of what I deeply believe: leadership isn’t about titles or hierarchies. It’s about connection, inclusion, and respect for the people who make things happen every day. Whether you're delivering furniture or navigating a tuk-tuk through Phnom Penh, everyone deserves to feel seen and valued. Sometimes, it takes stepping outside our daily routines—and even our own countries—to remember what truly matters.

My first month at PepsiCo has not passed, but has flown by. And now I'm in the epicentre of onboarding 🌪️ I have never worked in FMCG segment, and moreover my HR BP role is refracted from a new angle. New people, tasks, volume of responsibilities add tension and pressure, but do not make this period less interesting. I regularly practice self-care during particularly difficult but important periods of time. And now these skills are acquiring critical importance and significance. What helps me stay on track: ➡️ Ask for help if I don't understand, doubt, can't cope with something; ➡️ Be aware of your own and other people's expectations, work with them and remember that it is impossible to know everything; ➡️ Make plans for a week / day; it is not only about work, but about personal tasks too. The ability to organize the accumulated mess adds energy; ➡️ Does not strive to do everything in a perfect way; to do enough is already good; ➡️ Have a regular supportive routine that switches and gives energy: sports, sleep, quality communication and ... delicious food ☺️ (not only for energy, but above all for pleasure). And remember that this period will pass, but how it'll end depends on me!

In every successful endeavor, there’s an unsung hero – the team. 🌟 As a leader, I've come to realize that recognizing your team isn't just a formality; it's a fundamental aspect of fostering a positive work culture and driving sustained success. Here's why: 1. Boost Morale and Motivation: Acknowledgment validates hard work and dedication. When team members feel appreciated, they are more motivated to go above and beyond, driving productivity and innovation. 2. Foster Loyalty and Retention: Recognizing achievements builds trust and loyalty among team members. It creates a sense of belonging and pride in their work, reducing turnover and increasing employee retention rates. 3. Encourage Collaboration and Engagement: A culture of recognition promotes teamwork and collaboration. When individuals feel valued, they are more likely to actively engage with colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to collective goals. 4. Drive Performance and Excellence: Public recognition reinforces desired behaviors and performance standards. It sets a benchmark for excellence and inspires continuous improvement across the team. 5. Nurture a Positive Work Environment: Celebrating successes creates a positive atmosphere where individuals feel supported and respected. It cultivates a culture of positivity, resilience, and camaraderie, which is essential for long-term success. In conclusion, recognizing your team isn't just about acknowledging achievements; it's about nurturing a culture of appreciation, empowerment, and growth. As leaders, let's make it a priority to celebrate the unsung heroes who drive our organizations forward. Big shoutout to Daffa Sulthan Jusfianza for consistently going above and beyond for the team! Thank you again for your hard work and commitment—it doesn't go unnoticed! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 #TeamAppreciation #EmployeeRecognition #LeadershipDevelopment #WorkCulture #SuccessMindset #ValuedEmployee #Leadership #HardWorkPaysOff

🎉Celebrating my THIRD anniversary at Compass!🎉 Reflecting on the past three years, my life and career have undergone a huge, once unimaginable, shift. My time at Compass has been nothing short of transformative, shaping my professional capabilities, personal identity and overall confidence. Here are my top three takeaways from three years: 1. 🙋♀️Surround yourself with people smarter than you. When I joined the team, I was struck by the caliber of individuals—bright, driven, and engaging. Initially intimidated, I look back today and realize I integrated into this exceptional community at some point, without even noticing, evolving into a peer among equals. 2. 🙇♀️Listen to understand. Operating on a team where input is valued, regardless of title or tenure, is refreshing. Everyone was brought to the table for a reason, and our diverse backgrounds, questions, ideas, and ways of processing information has led to great discussion and solutions. 3. 👪Join a community, not just a company. Looking back, so much of my transformation is thanks to unwavering support, continuous training, and a culture of empowerment at Compass. Embracing challenges, pushing boundaries, and striving for excellence are daily endeavors, where failures are learning opportunities and wins are celebrated. It is crazy to realize I belong among this talented team and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to continue to grow here. AND, who knows? Maybe in three more years, I'll be running the place? (Just kidding… give me at least another ten.)

This week marks my 4th anniversary at Compass, and it feels like we're just getting started! There are countless things I love about Compass, but in the spirit of celebrating four years, here are my top four: 1 - People: From my amazing team to the incredible employees and best-in-class agents, there's no doubt that the people at Compass inspire growth and innovation. They encourage us to push boundaries, challenge norms, think differently, collaborate, have fun, rise to the occasion, and be solutions-driven every single day. 2 - Dreaming Big: Compass embraces a unique mindset. We're not preoccupied with what other brokerages are doing—or not doing. Instead, we're hyper-focused and remarkably ambitious about what we're building and who we're building with and for. 3 - Promise and Progress: Despite a challenging market and industry changes, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our vision and to delivering for our clients and company. This dedication has never been more crucial than it is today. Progress happens daily as we continue to stay ahead of the curve, pushing forward to create the future that our industry and clients deserve. 4 - Big feels small. While we are America's top producing brokerage 3 years in a row - an incredibly well oiled machine with resources, expertise, specialized departments and offices all across the country - the interconnectedness of this company is truly so special. From coast to coast, we collaborate without ego, word hard, play hard and cheer each other on - embodying the spirit of one unified team! #thisiscompass

Reflecting on my journey in the restaurant industry, I never envisioned this chapter of my life. I once resigned myself to the relentless grind, convinced that work would consume my days and nights indefinitely. Yet, paradoxically, there was a strange allure to the chaos – a passion for the culinary craft that kept me tethered to the stove. However, the birth of my first daughter shattered my preconceptions. Suddenly, the long hours and fleeting days off paled in comparison to the irreplaceable moments with my family. It was a wake-up call to the richness of life beyond the kitchen's confines. After decades of dedication and sacrifice, my family and I made a daring decision – to leave behind our familiar roles, shed our possessions, and embrace the nomadic lifestyle of RV travel across the USA. For someone who tends to overanalyze even the smallest decisions, this leap of faith was monumental. Yet, with each mile traveled, each obstacle overcome, it became clear: this journey was worth every ounce of uncertainty. Our path has been marked by unexpected twists and turns. Failed attempts to settle down led us to unexpected destinations like the sun-soaked shores of Florida, where we lingered far longer than planned. Despite the challenges – leaks, mechanical issues, costly repairs – we persisted, driven by our commitment to adapt and thrive. In the midst of this adventure, I can't help but reflect on the amazing opportunities available in the culinary world today. While I don't regret my decision to travel, I've witnessed firsthand the incredible harmony that can be achieved in the right culinary role. Towards the end of my culinary career, I found myself in a position that offered both creativity and stability, allowing me to enjoy my passion for cooking while still prioritizing time with my family. Yet, even as I reminisce about the culinary world, I'm grateful for the opportunity to explore new horizons with my loved ones. This journey is more than just a change of scenery; it's a testament to the power of taking risks and embracing new opportunities. So, I encourage you to follow your passions, make bold choices, and prioritize the moments that truly matter. Because in the end, it's the experiences we share with loved ones that define the richness of our lives. #nomadlife #cheflife #hospitalityrecruiter
