The European Godfather of Microsoft Teams Rooms, my friend and mentor Michel Bouman is giving the keynote address at Peerless’s London event in May, and I’m proud to be in the following panel discussion with him! Microsoft Teams Rooms in some ways are way more complex than hybrid meeting spaces on other platforms. This is because they mesh into the megasphere that the wider Microsoft ecosystem comprises. As much as I’m happily involved with my friends and colleagues within Microsoft, their organisation and its reseller and partner networks can be quite hard to work out if you’re not a total insider. Although Teams Rooms comprise more than the certified vendors’ hardware, the wider room elements and components such as displays fall outside this tightly controlled galaxy. What has been a game changer in Microsoft’s reach into the wider picture of the physical room space, without any major financial outlay, has been the evangelism and generosity of Michel and colleagues such as Jimmy Vaughan.
