Some news just in time to kickoff #Ascend2024... Previously, the only certified database release for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) customers was 19c, which moved from Premier Support (PS) to Extended Support (ES) in May 2024.  Coinciding with that move to ES, Oracle previously announced 2 years of waived ES fees for 19c, through Apr 2026. 👉 Today, Oracle quietly extended the 19c PS support period from April 30, 2024 by 2 years to April 30, 2026 (to nearly 7 years of PS). They essentially cut into the first year of ES, which will now only be 1 year, from May 01, 2026 through April 30, 2027. Ultimately PS replaces waived ES fees for 2 years, but unfortunately, there was not a corresponding extension of ES.  So it's a bit of a semantical change. At the end of the day, we're still looking at an 8 year support period between PS and ES. We'll continue to wait patiently for a 23ai on-prem release and certification with EBS r12.2.x, hopefully a GA announcement to be made later in CY24. Stay tuned #Ascend2024 #CloudWorld2024
