The scope of protector powers in the context of trusts is the subject of ongoing debate and an issue which the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council will ultimately determine. While expressing no view as to whether the narrow view or the wide view should prevail, some recent guidance from the Royal Court of Jersey is helpful nevertheless.
