We’re proud to partner with Westwick Management to launch The Rock and Metal Alliance Presents, a brand-new initiative aimed at giving grassroots rock and metal artists the platform they deserve. 🎶 Our Mission: There are so many talented artists out there without the support of management, publishers, or agents. We want to help these musicians showcase their potential and connect them to new opportunities. 🌍 What’s Next? In the short term, we’ll be taking our stage to showcase festivals across the UK, with a longer-term goal of expanding into Europe. For now all I have on there are the soundtracks I make...something I've been doing ever since I was 12 years old. And have had the honour of producing various up and coming artists for various studios while I was still a student in high school.Sound and Rhythm comes naturally to me. So I figured..why not do it again.☺️..The guys on beatstars love my jams. Great question -- Retention. Customers, personal relationships. It's natural for people to make some assumptions when they first meet, everyone is on their best behavior. IT's after so many months where the hard work is. (i.e. one of the high-risk periods for marriages is in the first 1-2 years.. so too, IMHO business relationships. maintaining customer trust is harder once they are on-board and see "behind the curtain" also the old adage that for ever dollar you spend winning a customer, you spend Nine dollars trying to win a customer back. my $0.02 --

#eventprofs: Would love to hear your thoughts on this now-infamous John Mulaney set at Dreamforce. If you were on the event team, what would you have done in that situation? Would you try and smooth things over with attendees, or laugh it off? Do you think comedians are a good choice for corporate events, or is a situation like this too risky? I saw another thread pointing out that someone buying tickets to a comedy show consents to possible roasting—but attending a work-mandated conference is a different story. Thoughts? Did you catch what Marvel Entertainment did over the weekend? They released a video showing the 15-month journey to create a Lakota-language dub of The Avengers, bringing the original cast back to re-record their roles in Lakota. This is a massive win for Indigenous language preservation! Ray Taken Alive, a Lakota teacher and activist, pointed out that the Lakota language was banned in residential schools, cutting young Natives off from their mother tongue. Today, only about 2,000 people speak Lakota as their first language. Past efforts to preserve the language faced challenges, including exploitation by a white-run organization that copyrighted materials collected from Lakota speakers. Marvel's project highlights how entertainment can spotlight important causes and drive social good. Imagine if brands took a cue from this and recreated famous jingles and taglines in Native languages. It would be a fantastic way to make these languages more memorable and accessible to a broader audience.
