I’ve been working at Sendoso for coming up on 5 years—aka a lifetime in startup years. Sendoso has always been pretty good to me. But I’ll admit - when I first started here, I didn’t fully believe in it. From the outside it doesn't make that much sense (plus I was answering support tickets about Starbucks cards.) Then I saw how direct mail impacts our customer's pipelines, and I was still kind of skeptical on the "influence" versus "attribution." Then I moved into a role where I get at minimum 10 cold outbound messages/emails/calls a day. Now I really understand why Sendoso works. Sales and marketing are getting more and more automated and impersonal. Blasting your audience with outbound is the norm now, so when you personalize and use gifting, it shows me that I may actually be the right buyer, or at least you think so. #SendIt #DirectMail
5 years of working with you Farmer has been a nightmare...I mean a dream. Think I got those confused :)
I've been sending out emails for years but it took me about 4 years and the right headspace and content to realize the value of outbound emailing at scale. Truth is, if the offer and angle are valuable to your ICP, personalization really doesn't matter.
100%. I was thinking the same thing today: I have a Sendoso proposal in my inbox, and no cookies at my door step. Yet Johnny Doughnuts and Pondfarm brewery are literally halfway between my house and Braydan's (we're talking 5'). Better not get another email first 🤣
Congrats on the 5 years Cody 🎉 And I would agree. Being on the data side of things, I realized your understanding of your own company changes a lot when you get into a role that is directly customer facing.
It makes a huge difference when you truly grasp the value of your product for your customers! I'm a believer in personalized gifting. It's a channel that works everywhere in the customer lifecycle.
Those dang Starbucks card 😅

7moFirm believer that all the “AI SDR” spam coming out will further differentiate the Sendoso value prop. …Unless Spotify is secretly sharing my playlist “cookies” with 6sense
