I really, REALLY dislike the word "busy"! ❌ "Busy" frequently gets misused as a status symbol, an identity, an indicator of someone's importance or value. As though having time and space to breathe and savour life somehow makes us less-than and not-enough. ❌ "Busy" gets misused as an excuse for why we haven't done something or made contact with someone. As though there's something wrong with choosing to prioritise other relationships and things (and never forget that if there hasn't been contact between the two of you for some time, you're only half of the equation!). ❌ "Busy" gets misused as a backhanded compliment for people who thrive on getting sh*t done. As though we're somehow doing it wrong if we're smashing through our to-do list on the regular. In conversation with some fabulous women last year, we agreed we need a better word to describe the situation in which our diaries and hearts are full - but none of us could come up with an alternative that felt quite right. I'd love to hear your thoughts. ❔ What's your experience with the word "busy"? ❔ And what's a better word that captures the sense of being pleasantly occupied with activities that bring us joy? #busy #TooBusy #WorkLifeBalance WorkLifeHarmony #flourishing #wellbeing #priorities Image credit: dreamstime .com

Your family doesn't know how much difficulties and pressure you go through in your daily life or in your job. And your work doesn't know the circumstances of your life and your home. Your colleagues, your friends, and loved ones will not understand the size of the new and old responsibilities that are above you. And your partner is always expecting unconditional love and support from you, he/she wont understand the amount of pressure you go through no matter how much you talk and explain to him/her. No one will understand what you're really going through and they most likely don't appreciate efforts. #workculture #worklifebalance

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. That's why it's important to love the work you are currently doing. Initially, we may struggle to bring our attention, emotion, and affection towards the work, but it develops gradually. Eventually, as we immerse ourselves in it, we start enjoying it. This way, we come to love the work, and the bond between us and our work becomes so strong that we can't break it and feel restless without it.... #CareerGrowth #PassionForWork #WorkLifeBalance #ProfessionalDevelopment #LoveWhatYouDo #CareerAdvice #Motivation #WorkInspiration #PersonalBranding

In a world that’s moving so fast, we often forget the importance of small, meaningful actions. Today, I want to talk about kindness in the workplace. A simple “thank you” or “great job” can go a long way in making someone’s day better. It boosts morale, strengthens relationships, and creates a positive work environment. Let’s normalize appreciating the efforts of our colleagues, no matter how small they might seem. After all, kindness is contagious and can lead to a ripple effect of positivity. When was the last time you made someone’s day at work? Or when did someone’s kindness make a difference for you? Share your experiences below! #KindnessMatters #WorkplaceCulture #BeTheChange #DailyReflections #dream

What if we approached our work relationships with more grace? Thanksgiving always puts me in a reflective mood, and reminds me of the concept of “Grace” as applied to work. Extending grace has really turned around my levels of stress and ability to build relationships and consensus with colleagues. Grace is about assuming positive intent, offering understanding, and celebrating differences. It's about choosing kindness, even when it's challenging. Here's what grace looks like to me: - Asking "Is everything okay?" when someone is late - Offering support and guidance when a task isn't done to standard - Making it easy for colleagues to prioritize “life” instead of work when they choose to - Assuming positive intent when facing a disagreement - Letting go of minor offenses - Trusting in the decisions of others Let's make a conscious effort to extend grace to others this week (and beyond!). Share your experiences and inspire others to do the same. #grace #gratitude #worklifebalance #positiveworkplace

“A good deed is never lost; courtesy brings friendship, and kindness gathers love. I’ve always relied on the kindness of strangers. When we show love and kindness, it not only makes others feel cared for but also fosters our own inner happiness and peace. Just as in our personal lives, we should extend kindness in the workplace to cultivate a compassionate environment.”🍁 Ways to Achieve This: 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐈𝐧: Regularly ask how your colleagues are doing. 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐎𝐮𝐭: Offer assistance when someone is overwhelmed. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭: Acknowledge everyone’s contributions. 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐲: Understand and share the feelings of others. 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞: Say thank you often and mean it. 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬: Motivate your team to reach their potential. 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥: Pay attention and show you care. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞: Help others grow by sharing what you know. 𝐒𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬: A simple thank you can go a long way. By integrating these simple yet powerful actions into your daily routine, you can create a more supportive and positive work environment. 🌟 #WorkplaceWellness #TeamBuilding #PositiveCulture #EmployeeEngagement #KindnessAtWork #BuildTrust #BoostTeamMorale #FosterPositivity #StrengthenRelationships
