This week Google released new Gemini models. Gemini 2.0 Flash and Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking. Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking is an experimental model that explicitly shows its thoughts. Built on 2.0 Flash’s speed and performance, this model is trained to use thoughts to strengthen its reasoning. My observation & data analysis led me to following summary: The average duration to secure employment in the tech sector in the USA spans around 9 months. There are no job opportunities available for junior developers, while the tech industry is experiencing a shortage of around 60% in job openings for senior, principal, and managerial roles. There's a lot of talk about #AI, disruptions, and distractions and the good they could bring to humanity. Prematurely. Tasks that were once easy are now hard to get done. Connecting with customer service can be frustrating, especially with AI chats that test your patience. Software often doesn't work properly. It seems like some companies cut back on their tech teams too soon and Customers (!) are now facing the consequences.
