What section of the Identity Zero Trust maturity model does your current MFA technology fall into? If you're relying on passwords, OTPs, and other phishable factors such as PUSH notifications, you're falling short of the "Advanced" or "Optimal" sections of the maturity model. Only by implementing phishing resistant MFA such as FIDO and PIV can organizations get into the "advanced" stage. The trick to getting there is ensuring that there is a consistent and secure authentication layer across various identity stores. The bigger the organization, the more difficult this becomes due to the reality of identity sprawl. Once you unify authentication across all your identity stores, having the ability to identity and respond to identity threats in real time and is critical in order to prevent lateral movement and dwell time.
