As the primary managed system for properly discarded plastic waste, no other option provides greater scale, practice and return value in eliminating plastic pollution than making sure plastics are designed for Landfill Gas-to-Energy recovery (ASTM D5526). Sustainability starts with lifecycle accountability.

Sharing some great news on how RNG is helping sustainable trucking with another year of negative carbon intensity RNG. "Renewable natural gas (RNG) accounted for 97% of all on-road fuel used in natural gas vehicles in California in 2023. According to data from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) the annual average carbon intensity score of bio-CNG in that mix was -126.42 gCO2e/MJ." https://lnkd.in/ggfEMyMh #RNG

Happy #AgWeek! American farmers are doing more than you know to be stewards of the soil and air. Here’s another example: Last month, Marshall Ridge Dairy in Marshall County, Iowa, completed a facility that’s anaerobically digesting the manure from its milking cows to create renewable fuel that will replace diesel fuel in the trucks that transport goods across our highways. The farm will produce 1.7 million gallons of low carbon-intensity RNG annually plus lots of nutrient-rich natural fertilizer, too! Building Florida's second-ever landfill gas-to-renewable natural gas (RNG) facility is a proud accomplishment, but it is just the next step in our infrastructure development of a more efficient, cleaner future for Florida and beyond. Today, 12 municipalities and businesses, including Central Florida’s transit system, school districts, and several of the country’s top waste management companies, have joined the efforts to utilize cleaner, safer fuels that not only reduce greenhouse gasses but eliminate them from entering the atmosphere in the first place. "Production and distribution of RNG is our core focus. But we want to make sure we have laid the foundation to be able to evolve as time and the market dictates,” said Nopetro Energy Co-founder and CEO, Jorge Herrera recently told Waste360.
