NDT is crucial because it allows inspectors to detect flaws and ensure the integrity of materials and components without compromising their usability. Q5: How do you ensure the accuracy of measurement tools used during inspections? A5: To ensure the accuracy of measurement tools, I regularly calibrate them according to the manufacturer’s specifications and industry standards. I also perform routine checks and maintenance to verify that they are functioning correctly. Proper documentation of calibration records is maintained to ensure traceability and compliance with quality management systems. ⭕ Situational Questions Q6: How would you handle a situation where you find a critical defect in a mechanical component? A6: If I find a critical defect, I would immediately halt the relevant operations and notify the appropriate personnel, including supervisors and quality assurance teams.
