Utility recapture is the process by which real estate companies pay for utilities such as water, electric and gas, and then bill their tenants for these expenses. What they pay shows as an expense in their P&L, and what they collect from tenants is shown as income. The ratio of the income to expense is the Utility Recapture rate. This dashboard was built to analyze just how much of utility expenses are being recaptured and to enable companies to compare different properties or property groups to find opportunities for improvement. https://bit.ly/3W5DTvC #PropertyManagement #RentManager #Appfolio #Entrata #RentViewer #KPI #Yardi

Benefits of Reviewing Your Historical Data History tells its own story, which goes for utility bills as well. Anytime we take on a new client, as we have recently, we ask them for 12-24 months' worth of bill invoices. There's a two-fold reason for this, with the first being, we can create a baseline of their usage and cost. The second portion is our auditing process, which we have become quite good at. And wouldn't you know it, we found a whopping $18,666.25 in gas costs that the utility had invoiced based on an incorrect meter read. While history has its place, the present also has its place, paving a great way to kick off a new client relationship. We are grinning from ear to ear. #solarinstallers Myself and Harry Haines have been speaking to a lot of you about Power Purchase Agreements (PPA's) and the funding options surrounding them. Some installers are well versed in PPA's, other just starting their journey with PPA's. What's been clear from the outset of these conversations is as follows: 1. The demand from the commercial market for PPA's is only growing. 2. The interest from installers offering and looking to offer PPA's is only growing. 3. The importance of an intermediary like Growth Panel brokering PPA's is only growing. Exciting times in this sector. Exciting times for everyone involved. Whether you're looking to work with a single PPA partner and establish that strategic growth relationship, or canvass the market for the best PPA price for each project... Growth Panel have a funder and solution for your needs. Remember, projects as low as 20Kw can be funded. Projects as big as your imagination can conceive can be funded. Let's connect and lets get to work.
