Today is National Voter Registration Day! Are you registered to vote? The right to vote is an important aspect of our civic duty. Voting allows you to contribute to the decision-making processes that affect your community and your country, making it a vital part of participating in and supporting the electoral system. Your voice matters, and registering to vote is the first step in making sure it is heard. Here’s how you can get involved: - Check Your Registration Status: Visit https://lnkd.in/dTffeUk to verify if you are already registered to vote. If not, it's quick and easy to sign up. - Register to Vote: If you haven't registered yet, you can do so online at https://vote.gov or find your local registration office. Remember, the deadline to register in many areas is fast approaching! - Get Informed & Make a Plan: Before heading to the polls, take some time to research the candidates and issues to make informed choices. Also, make a plan for how and when you will vote to ensure your voice is heard. We want to encourage everyone to exercise your right to vote, and an important first step is to ensure you are registered. #NationalVoterRegistrationDay #VoterRegistration #Vote #RightToVote #ExerciseYourRight #CitiTrends #LiveBold

We want everyone to use their vote. But for some people voting can be a difficult process to follow, which is why we are helping tenants to register for voting and checking they have the correct ID to do this. More information can be found on the #MyVoteMyVoice website https://lnkd.in/eQD_YFce

Special thanks to Shaniqua McClendon from Invisible Hand who joined our company-wide Allyship ERG meeting to discuss the importance of voting and how our voices and votes matter in this election season. Here are are a few resources that were shared: · Vote.gov - Federal Government website to register to vote, find your polling location, and more · Votesaveamerica.com - Find out what’s on your state / local ballot and what it all means in plain language. Take the next step. 🗳️ 1️⃣ Make a plan to vote and encourage your family and friends to do the same! It’s one of the most important things you can do. 2️⃣ Use the resources above to find your polling place, get informed, and more. 3️⃣ Speak with your Manager about time off needed to vote. #Vote #LifeAtAquent

To vote, that is. Now, more than ever, it’s time to run to the polls (preferably early since it’s easier and runs more quickly). Exercise your democratic right to vote and select our next president. Not everyone has this freedom. Make your voice heard. And get everyone you know to vote as well. You can use this handy website to look up friends and family to see if they have or not since voting is public although who you vote for is not: https://lnkd.in/evZs6bNN Once the person’s Public Voting Record is displayed, you can also use the “Get Voting Info” button to execute other things: * Check Your Registration * How And Where To Vote * Check Your Vote Score (this one is really cool) * Register To Vote * Pledge To Vote * Vote By Mail (probably too late) * Make A Voting Plan * What’s On Your Ballot D. Tuesday is Election Day! 🗳️ Make your voice count by voting today! Here’s what you need to know: * Confirm you’re registered and find your polling place at VoteTexas.gov. * Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.—if you're in line by 7, you can still vote! * Bring a valid photo ID, and while it’s not required, having your voter registration certificate could help you avoid a provisional ballot. * Remember, no campaign materials are allowed within 100 feet of the entrance. While it’s not required, we highly recommend bringing your voter registration certificate to the polling place. In some situations, having it can allow you to vote a regular ballot instead of a provisional one. Make sure you’re prepared—go vote and make your voice heard! Every vote counts, and every voice matters. #ChalkTalk #JustTheFacts #YourVoteMatters
