Big News! ➡️ Metabase Q closed on $11 million of new funding! Our Series A Extension Round was led by our existing investor, SYN Ventures. Robert Rodriguez, a venture partner at SYN Ventures and chairman and founder of SINET, a community of senior-level cybersecurity professionals, is joining our board as we continue to build a game-changing company. This round will enable us to continue scaling Batuta, our centralized SecOps control plane that unifies IT and cybersecurity management to proactively reduce risk. Great to see cybersecurity funding increasing with $4.4 billion invested in Q2 across 153 deals, representing a 144% YoY increase. There has been fewer but larger deals, including significant rounds like Wiz's $1 billion and Cyera's $300 million. Investors are optimistic about the continued growth of the cybersecurity market, supporting strong startups poised to challenge established security giants, despite the market not fully recovering yet. #Cybersecurity practitioners take a community-driven approach to solving problems. Security researchers share the vulnerabilities they find with the broader cybersecurity community, which allows companies to patch up their security holes before something catastrophic happens. Prequel is looking to bring that same approach to software. Prequel has raised $3.3M to help enterprises boost application reliability by synthesizing global failure and problem detection knowledge. The round was led by Work-Bench, with participation from Runtime Ventures and Operator Partners. Founders of leading category-defining infrastructure companies joined the round: Shay Banon (CTO, Elastic), Jon Oberheide (CTO, Duo Security), Monica Sarbu (CEO, Xata), and Andrew Morris (CTO, GreyNoise).
