It accounts for nearly one-quarter of all cancer deaths, with an estimated 10,900 deaths in men and 9,800 in women expected in 2024. Spreading the knowledge in Bowel Cancer Awareness Month…   Bowel (colorectal) cancer is the UK’s second biggest cause of cancer mortality, yet when diagnosed early it is highly treatable and curable, with a 5+ year survival rate of:   ▶ 90% with stage 1 (Dukes’ A) ▶ 85% with stage 2 (Dukes’ B) ▶ 65% with stage 3 (Dukes’ C) ▶ 10% with stage 4 (Dukes’ D)   Around 80% of people survive their cancer for 1+ year, 60% for 5+ years, and 55% for 10+ years.   #medicalinnovation #bowelcancerawareness2024 #colorectalcancer #HIPEC #CombatMedical

Did you know ovarian cancer causes more deaths than any other cancer of the female reproductive system?
