Talking about #MonetateElevate24 took our morning stand-up off track today and into e-comm’s hottest topic: personalisation. Not sure it’s fantasy anymore as the tech exists, and no one can argue that running A/B tests isn’t valuable (we hope!) Rasmus Houlind nailed the biggest glitch in getting a personalisation/loyalty programme off the ground ... identify where business needs and customer happiness clash and then one by one remove each and every point of friction in the journey. We know that implementing personalisation isn’t just about plugging in some CSS and A/B testing which product pics perform best. It requires a major overhaul of existing infrastructure and is not always an easy sell internally when KPIs vary from team to team and opinions about the value of better #CX and #UX can go round in circles.
