Happy Warrior Wednesday, everyone! As we move through Military Appreciation Month, it’s the perfect time to truly reflect on and celebrate the incredible dedication and bravery of our service members and their families. This month isn’t just about recognition; it’s a heartfelt thank you to those who have given so much to ensure our freedoms. Why Military Appreciation Month Matters: 1. Honor the Sacrifices: From the long deployments to the missed family moments, our troops make countless sacrifices. This month, we’re taking extra time to acknowledge and thank them for these selfless acts. 2. Support for Military Families: Behind every service member is a family that serves in their own way. Let’s make sure we’re also supporting the spouses and kids who keep things running at home. 3. Get Involved Locally: Check out the parades, memorial services, and community events happening this month. Whether you’re attending or volunteering, it’s a great way to show your support. 4. Educate and Share Stories: Use this month as a chance to spread the word about the military’s vital role and the personal stories of those who serve. Whether it’s through social media or in conversations at school or work, every story told is another layer of appreciation. 5. Shop Military-Owned Businesses: Let’s give back by supporting businesses run by veterans and military spouses. It’s a small way to uplift those who’ve already given so much. A Personal Note from Next Move Military: Here at Next Move Military, our commitment to supporting military members extends far beyond just this month. We’re here all year round, helping military families find, settle into their new homes and integrate into their communities, making transitions as smooth as possible. This Military Appreciation Month, let’s make a real effort to show our gratitude. Reach out to someone you know who serves or has served, and simply say thank you. It’s a small gesture that can make a big impact.

Today is Giving Tuesday—a global day of generosity and a reminder that we all have the power to make a difference. As a veteran, I know firsthand the life-changing impact that organizations can have. For me, the USO, Student Veterans of America, and American Corporate Partners (ACP) were instrumental in my journey from military service to civilian life. They provided resources, mentorship, and a sense of community when I needed it most. Giving back doesn’t always mean writing a check. It could be volunteering your time, sharing your expertise, or even amplifying the mission of a cause that matters to you. Every act of kindness adds up. Today, I encourage you to reflect on the causes close to your heart. What organizations have impacted your life or the lives of those you love? How can you help them continue their mission? If you’re looking for inspiration, I highly recommend checking out these amazing organizations: 👉 USO 👉 Student Veterans of America 👉 American Corporate Partners (ACP) Let’s make today count by giving back in ways that matter. Share your favorite cause or a story of generosity in the comments—I’d love to hear how you’re making an impact this Giving Tuesday. #GivingTuesday #Generosity #Veterans LinkedIn for Nonprofits

Appropriately today, we honor our brave Veterans, who served & sacrificed for our country and fought for the many freedoms we all have and in all too many instances, take for granted. Yet today is only 1 day out of 365 in the year. In a respectful way only, perhaps consider cutting out a few Starbucks or something else you can do without, to support their physical & mental health throughout the year, by contributing a few dollars a month, to the below organizations who do good work. Words are easy, actions speak louder. https://lnkd.in/giu4ymyH https://lnkd.in/g-Gzs7yM https://t2t.org/ https://lnkd.in/gfeMHCNq https://help.dav.org/

This Thanksgiving, as we gather around the table, let's take a moment to express our gratitude not just for what we have, but for those who make it possible. - Our service members and veterans sacrifice so much to protect our freedoms and ensure our safety. Here are three meaningful ways we can show our thanks to them today and throughout the year: --- 1️⃣ Support Veteran-Owned Businesses—Whether it’s shopping small this holiday season or dining at a veteran-owned restaurant, you’re giving back directly to those who have served. - 2️⃣ Write a Letter or Send a Care Package—Programs like Operation Gratitude make it easy to share heartfelt messages or send essential items to active-duty service members and veterans. - 3️⃣ Volunteer or Donate to Veteran Organizations—Find a local or national nonprofit that helps veterans transition to civilian life, access healthcare, or find housing and jobs. Your time or financial support can make a life-changing difference. --- To all our service members, veterans, and their families—thank you for your courage, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment to our nation. Wishing you a warm and peaceful Thanksgiving. 🦃💙❤️

Today, as we pause to honor Veterans Day, we are reminded of the courage, resilience and selfless service that define our nation’s veterans. With one in five Lockheed Martin employees proudly wearing the badge of veteran, we hold their contributions close to our mission and values every day. We can all find meaningful ways to express our gratitude for those who have served; join me in taking action by considering one of the following ways you can honor veterans today: 1. Attend or participate in community Veterans Day events. 2. Volunteer with veteran organizations. 3. Write and send thank you notes to a veteran or their family. 4. Support veteran-owned businesses. 5. Observe a moment of silence. 6. Simply say thank you and shake a veteran’s hand. 7. Donate to veteran support charities. 8. Host or attend a Veterans Day lunch. 9. Post a tribute on social media. 10. Display the American flag with pride. While today is a moment to celebrate those who returned home, we also honor the memory of those we have lost, whose legacy reminds us that freedom is never free. To all veterans—thank you for your unwavering commitment to our country. Your sacrifices are not forgotten, and your impact lives on through the lives you have protected and inspired. #VeteransDay

Expressing gratitude to Veterans is always meaningful, and the VA is encouraging everyone to participate in “Veteran Thanks-Giving” from Nov. 24–30. This initiative reminds us to honor the sacrifices made by Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors in heartfelt ways. Whether it’s through volunteering, sending a letter, or simply reaching out with a thoughtful call, there are endless opportunities to show appreciation. For those interested in giving their time, organizations like the American Legion, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and Habitat for Humanity offer fantastic volunteer opportunities. Additionally, programs like Vet Tix provide free tickets to events, creating shared experiences that bring joy to Veterans and their families. Even small gestures like a thank-you message can have a big impact. If you’re looking to reconnect with former service buddies, platforms like Together We Served Buddy Finder and RallyPoint can help you find those meaningful connections. Let’s extend the camaraderie of last month’s Buddy Check Week into the holidays and beyond, ensuring Veterans feel the appreciation they’ve earned. 🌟 NonprofitSpotlight: Yellow Ribbon Fund 🌟 This Veterans Day, I’m shining a spotlight on the Yellow Ribbon Fund and their commitment to empowering military caregivers and families through their Keystone and Crossroads Programs. 💛 🔹 Keystone Program: Did you know there are over 1.1 million military caregivers in the U.S. assisting post-9/11 service members? These caregivers manage households, provide consistent care, and navigate emotional and financial challenges. Yellow Ribbon Fund’s Keystone Program steps in to offer: ✔️ Career Development opportunities 💼 ✔️ Health & Wellness education 🧘 ✔️ Respite and peer support 🤝 🔹 Crossroads Program: During a service member’s recovery, the Crossroads Program ensures families can stay close by providing fully furnished housing, hotel stays, and transportation at no cost. By keeping families together during critical moments, this program strengthens bonds and fosters hope in difficult times. 🏡🚗 Yellow Ribbon Fund reminds us that true support uplifts everyone involved. 💪🏿 Take a moment to learn more about what they do and see how you can support them. ✨ Link in comments ⬇️ #VeteransDay #MilitaryCaregivers #NonprofitSpotlight #SupportFamilies
