So what does that transition look like? We commissioned a report by Frost & Sullivan to find out. The global report findings that were launched last week show that, while timelines vary, many across our industry are navigating the same path toward mixed-energy fleets, which is a powerful catalyst for industry-wide collaboration.

𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 (𝗦𝗕𝗧𝘀) 𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀’𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Network Plus continues to make progress on carbon emissions, with near-term Science Based Targets (SBTs) now in place to plot emissions reductions for the next 10 years.  The company’s net zero target is 2040 – targets which will be achieved through sustainable business practice, internal training to optimise carbon savings from electric plant, equipment and vehicles, and through value chain collaboration – demonstrating a dedication to positive environmental impacts. Electric telehandlers are replacing diesel models at Network Plus depots, while teams have been trialling electric rammers, whackers, breakers, saws and excavators. A transition away from hot mix- to warm mix-asphalt will also deliver carbon savings in line with SBT requirements. Network Plus’s performance and progress is independently validated in line with the requirements of the science-based target initiative (SBTi).  #sustainability #netzero #utilities #sbt

In 7th grade my science teacher had us watch the documentary “Who Killed the Electric Car”. It really sparked my interest in electric vehicles and all the variables at play to make them viable – technology advancements, business interests, consumer perceptions…politics. A lot has changed since then. My one and only vehicle has been electric for 4 years now (a goal set back in 7th grade) and every day I get to work with businesses and local governments transforming our transportation systems and energy infrastructure. Right now, the industry as a whole is going through some growing pains where market share is harder earned. I think it's a unique time for marketers to respond to the occasion — especially in commercial fleet electrification — meeting customers where they are at and connecting them to the right solutions.
