Innovation in Aerothermodynamics is not the proprietary of Aerospace. Innovation and technology breakthroughs are also coming from Fomula 1 . So when I see such opportunity, I encourage all students in engineering willing to push their limits to apply !!! And who knows, may be our ways could cross in the future as well 🚀
In addition to the graduate scheme opening up, the internship one is equally available for applications. Maybe you start as a talented intern and end up coming to our IndyCar group later on! It is your time to shine! https://lnkd.in/eyt444wH

Last weekend, I took my first “intern” job in the USA in an unexpected setting: 2024 Spinnaker Cup. Team Typon, who invited me, had raced this long course several times before, and despite my lack of racing experience, they welcomed me aboard. The journey began in San Francisco, where we battled the Golden Gate Bridge’s strong 3-knot current, determined to keep us in the city. From there, we sailed 84 nautical miles to Monterey, facing 8-foot waves and the powerful winds California's coast is known for. The risks are real: fast tacks, sail swaps, and the constant threat of getting tangled in ropes, thrown overboard, or worse. Thanks to the seasoned team (note: not the intern), we had no accidents… except for the high winds tearing our spinnaker apart two hours before the finish. We finished 5th in 12 hours and 9 minutes, setting a record time for the team. What did I learn as the rookie of the crew? …Ask for clear and specific instructions. …Remember the mistakes you make and try not to repeat them. …Follow the captain’s commands when fast actions are required. This also made me reflect on how I’ve instructed interns in my companies. Often, much clearer terminology, expectations, and feedback would have helped them along the way. All in all, a great experience and I will definitely do it again - just not as an intern anymore. - PS. In full transparency: many of the captain’s decision were 'discussed' after the race… and, I did repeat a mistake… or two 😎

BIKE MECHANIC TRAINING Recently the City undertook a study to look at the workforce that is required to meet the Toronto Net Zero Strategy’s 2040 targets. Every green industry will need to grow significantly and rapidly in order to reach the deployment of green technologies that the strategy calls for. The City’s climate strategy forecasts that bike usage needs to grow from 13 million trips a year to 648 million trips a year by 2040. That requires the number of bike mechanics in Toronto to grow from about 220 now to 7,500 in 2040. Yet there are no organized career pathways for the bike industry in Canada (we’re the only G8 nation that doesn’t). That’s why the City has partnered with a number of stakeholders to support the creation of a Bike Training Initiative to attract youth into the industry and to provide them with apprenticeship training More to come on this in the coming months! http://www.bikecareer.ca/

Since 1977, we've been dedicated to bringing golf home—navigating economic challenges and rising from humble beginnings. #AlonsoEsquivel, a former garden master for top landscaping companies, didn't get here through internships but through hard work and relentless pursuit of excellence. We didn’t always have the solutions, but we stayed focused on delivering the best results. Now, as we look to finish the season strong, we reflect on one question: How can we continue to improve the game at home? The answer lies in going back to fundamentals, refining what works, and pushing forward. Let’s make the final stretch of this season count! #GolfAtHome #FinishStrong #Established1977 #AlonsoEsquivel #chalet 🔝 #golf #usga #pga 🟢⚪️🔴 #mexico 🟢⚪️🔴 Chalet 🌸🐝🏡⛳️ #chalet #gardens 🎶

What a great way to start Monday! A coffee and a chat with Marleigh and Ellenique who have just finished their level 3 apprenticeship in our physical modelling team. They are part of our incredible hard model team who have recently been involved in some very exciting model build that the world will see soon. Rhoda from our talented clay sculpting team who also started her career with JLR as an apprentice and has worked on some incredible models joined us too. It was a sheer delight for myself and Vicky - our physical modelling senior manager to talk with these 3 JLR ambassadors. Last week they went to a school in Solihull to talk about JLR, apprenticeships, being part of a Creative team, design and technical. Today they talked to me about how they joined JLR and what they love about their roles and what could make their working experience even better. We also talked about how amazing it is to work on our 4 incredible brands and to be lucky to work and be a part of the cars of our future. I wish I could start every Monday like this! If you can’t see it - you can’t be it. We made a pact to do even more to encourage young minds to consider a career in STEM. #STEM #Creative #PhysicalModelling #HardModels #ClaySculpting #RoleModels #Inspirational #Growth #Impact #Unity #Integrity #CustomerLove #ProudCreatorsOfModernLuxury #Proud #Grateful #Apprenticeships #EarlyCareers #HandsOfTheAtelier

Yesterday, I had the incredible opportunity to do testing with the water polo and rowing athletes that I work with as part of my strength and conditioning internship. It was an exciting day of testing, where I gained hands-on experience using the VALD systems for CMJ (countermovement jumps), squat jumps, and drop jumps. Learning to operate the VALD testing plates and software was quite challenging but it gave me valuable insights into applying data-driven strategies to support athletes’ development. #StrengthAndConditioning #SportsScience #AthleteDevelopment
