Today is Mental Health Ireland’s national ‘Hello, How are You?' day. It is also European Mental Health Week and our Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA’s) organised morning tea in AtkinsRéalis Ireland's Dublin, Cork, Galway and Dundalk offices to encourage employees to reach out to others around them and say “HELLO, How are you?” Mental Health Ireland’s ‘Hello, How Are You?’ campaign is about connection and engaging in open conversations about mental health. The campaign asks individuals, communities, workplaces, friends & family to say 'Hello' and ask the question ‘How Are You?’ in a meaningful way. This opens up a conversation to allow people to listen and encourage action by signposting to supports and services where required. Supporting Lads and Dads: A Cause Close to My Heart 👏 I recently came across Lads and Dads website, an incredible organisation that provides essential support for men, fathers, and boys. They’re doing incredible work in addressing the mental, emotional, and social needs of men—something I strongly believe in as a Stress Management Coach who works closely with hard-working dads. In today’s world, the pressures on men are higher than ever. We’re often told to “tough it out” and carry the weight alone. But organisations like Lads and Dads are creating safe spaces where men can open up, find support, and connect with others who truly understand what they're going through. I fully support this mission because I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to break the stigma around men’s mental health. Together, we can create a world where men feel empowered to share their struggles, find solutions, and ultimately live happier, healthier lives. 💪 Check them out and let’s help more men find the support they deserve. https://lnkd.in/eC-qPihy #MensMentalHealth #SupportForDads #BreakTheStigma #LeadVisionCoaching #MentalHealthMatters #LadsAndDads

Love how bath and body works is spreading this awareness. We often don’t talk about mental health as being a real health concern. But far too often I see peers, old coworkers, friends and family impacted by stress of their job, their superiors, their life in general. I’m one of those! My call to action is do better! If you are a leader, reflect and ask yourself how are my actions affecting the mental health of those work for me? Conversely, am I making it ok to take care of my own mental health? I often spoke about my mental health with my team to let them know it’s ok to be open and have a discussion. Am I inspiring and fostering a culture of safety and support, or just using fear to drive results? #mentalhealthawareness #servantleadership
May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚, and we’re spotlighting Harry Miller, a Mental Health Advocate and founder of nonprofit organization, Don’t Make It Weird, to share his journey and commitment to raising awareness and fostering open discussions on this topic. Bath & Body Works is steadfast in supporting the health and wellness of our associates and we’re proud to offer no-cost mental wellbeing support for all U.S. and Canada associates, including their dependents and housemates through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). "Mental health is not something that ignores you just because you ignore it. Talk to the people you love. Give yourself permission to get help," said Harry Miller. 🧠 For us at 8fold, #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek is about inviting a pause - to consider the importance of thinking and talking about mental health within our workplace culture. 🫂As a fully-remote team, we place a high value on meeting regularly not only to collaborate on our work, but to check-in on each other and offer support wherever it’s needed. We also empower team members to meet in person in their local area whenever they’re in need of a check-in. We value the power of flexibility in work, but recognise the importance of time face-to-face. ❤️🩹We actively involve ourselves in initiatives concerning mental health, and last July, sponsored BatonOfHopeUK at Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival, an initiative designed to help prevent and raise awareness of suicide. 🤲At 8foldGovernance we keep humanity at the core of what we are and do, and mental health awareness week is the perfect time to put things into perspective - and to check in with our colleagues, families, and community members. #EndTheStigma

🧠🌍 World Mental Health Day: Prioritising Wellbeing in Legal Practice 🌍🧠 In the fast-paced world of legal practice, stress is an all-too-common companion. From long hours to high-stakes cases, legal professionals face unique pressures that can take a toll on mental health. On this #WorldMentalHealthDay, we want to shine a light on the importance of supporting mental wellbeing in the legal field. The challenges of burnout, anxiety, and emotional strain are real, but so are the solutions. Promoting work-life balance, fostering a supportive culture, and offering access to mental health resources are just a few of the ways law firms can create a healthier work environment. Let’s prioritise conversations around mental health, reduce stigma, and make it easier for everyone in the industry to seek help when needed. Remember, it's OK to not be OK, and support is available. The Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission supports R U OK? Day 2024. This National Day of Action across Australia encourages us to check in with our friends, family, and colleagues about their mental health and wellbeing by asking, “R U OK?” This year’s theme, ‘Ask R U OK? Any Day,’ highlights that life happens every day, and so should our conversations about mental health and wellbeing. A simple question any day of the year can make a big difference. For free resources, visit https://ow.ly/7y1950TlBhv On our part, the Commission remains committed to leading and supporting initiatives to prevent and address the stigma related to mental illness and psychological distress. If you or someone you care for would like to access additional support to free mental health advocacy or mental health and wellbeing support, then visit https://ow.ly/lqT550TlBhw. From homebuilding to team building 🧱 #BrickByBrick This #WorldMentalHealthDay, we're committed to continue building a supported and healthy team across Elivia Homes. 🏡 The homebuilding and construction industry can be tough. The high suicide rates in our sector are a stark reminder of how vital it is to take mental health seriously. That’s why we’re ensuring our team feels visible, valued, and connected, whether they’re on-site or in the office. We’ve established Mental Health First Aiders across all regions to provide a listening ear, guidance, and support for anyone who needs it.💚 But caring for mental health is everyone's responsibility, and we’re encouraging our teams to prioritise their wellbeing today and every day by: ☕ Taking breaks during the day to recharge – whether it's grabbing a coffee with a colleague or having a quiet moment to yourself 🔌 Unplugging at lunchtime for a digital detox – time away from screens, emails, and calls Building strong homes starts with a strong, connected team... brick by brick. 🧱💬 #WorldMentalHealthDay #EliviaHomes #MentalHealthMatters #HomeBuilding #TeamBuilding #BuildingResilience
