My journey to becoming a Brand Consultant wasn't as straightforward as one might assume. I explored various facets of the fashion industry, like merchandising and advertising. However, it was during my stint in an international PR Consulting firm that I found my passion ignited. The dynamic nature of this field, along with the opportunity to engage with people socially, resonated deeply with me. Being naturally extroverted, I realised that my skills aligned well with the demands of this profession, making it an obvious choice to pursue further. Being queer in the fashion industry has its advantages. I've noticed that it's often easier for me to connect with industry peers who share similar perspectives and are generally more accepting of queer folks compared to other fields. There's no field where one can truly thrive alone, be it navigating complex projects or fostering a positive work space, I've always relied on the collective effort of my team. One such memory is September 6th, 2018, a historic day when the Supreme Court of India overturned Section 377. The joy and significance of that moment was not limited to just me; they celebrated alongside me. I’ve faced my fair share of challenges but none because of my queerness, I am fortunate enough to have had relatively smooth sailing. Creating a queer affirming space is a fundamental aspect of our workplace culture. This includes actively listening to the needs of queer folks, offering support and resources as needed, and ensuring that our company policies explicitly prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. We also celebrate LGBTQ+ milestones to show our solidarity. Additionally, I'd like to see more meaningful inclusion and representation beyond featuring queer folks in marketing campaigns and fashion shows but also ensuring that their voices are valued within decision-making processes. I hope for greater sensitivity and awareness around inclusive sizing, gender-neutral clothing options, and fair treatment of LGBTQ+ employees in the industry. "The hardest part isn’t being bi. It’s being invisible." During #BisexualAwarenessWeek, we want to highlight an often unspoken truth: the unique challenges bisexual people face in the workplace. While strides have been made for #LGBTQIA+ representation, bisexuality remains largely invisible, especially for men. Why? Because bisexual men are often perceived to have feminine traits, leading to hiring bias and workplace discrimination, especially when they choose to reveal their true identity. This bias stems from harmful stereotypes that question their masculinity and decision-making, creating a significant barrier to equal opportunities. The painful reality is that bisexual people are forced into silence because they’re "half part of the norm." But is that really what workplaces need? Environments where employees feel they must hide a part of who they are to fit in? This pressure to remain invisible forces many bisexual people into a difficult position: sacrificing authenticity for acceptance. At Marching Sheep, we believe that inclusive workplaces must not only accept diversity but also embrace every identity in its entirety. #BisexualAwarenessWeek #EndHiringBias #LGBTQIA #InclusionMatters #MarchingSheep #MakeaDifference Sonica Aron (She/Her/Hers) Kunal S. Creating Inclusive Workplaces for Bisexual Women Imagine this: you're at work, bringing your full self to the table, hoping to thrive in an environment that values diversity. Yet, there’s a part of you that feels unseen, judged, or even discriminated against. For many bisexual women, this is a harsh reality. In fact, 27% of out bisexual women report facing discrimination at their workplace simply because of their sexual orientation. This is more than just a statistic — it’s someone’s lived experience. Komal, a young leader and a colleague of mine, shared her story recently. She’s passionate, driven, and deeply committed to her work. But there was a time when Komal struggled with being her authentic self at work. In meetings, she would hesitate to share stories about her personal life, worried about how people might perceive her bisexuality. She once overheard a colleague making dismissive remarks about "confused" bisexuals, and it stung. It made her question whether she truly belonged in the room. But Komal’s story didn’t end there. With support and an inclusive culture, she found her voice. Today, she’s leading projects with confidence, mentoring others, and showing what can happen when workplaces embrace every part of someone’s identity. As we approach Bisexual Awareness Week, let’s reflect on what it means to create a truly inclusive workplace — where everyone feels safe to be themselves and can contribute without fear of bias. As an organization, are we committed to building workplaces that celebrate differences and uplift everyone? Now is the time to act. Will you join us in fostering a culture where all employees, including bisexual women like Komal, feel valued and respected? #BisexualAwarenessWeek #InclusiveWorkplaces #RepresentationMatters #DiversityInAction #EqualityForAll #SupportBisexualWomen #SafeSpaces #WorkplaceInclusion #BreakTheBias

Today, on International Transgender Day of Visibility, we celebrate the courage, resilience, and achievements of the transgender community. I believe it's crucial to recognize the importance of this day and continue our efforts towards inclusivity and diversity in the workplace. In India, transgender individuals face numerous challenges, including societal stigma, discrimination, and limited access to education and employment opportunities. Despite these barriers, many trans individuals have shown remarkable talent, creativity, and leadership potential. As we strive for a more inclusive workforce, it's imperative to create environments where everyone, regardless of their gender identity, feels valued, respected, and empowered to bring their whole selves to work. This includes actively promoting diversity at all levels of leadership, ensuring that trans voices are heard, and advocating for policies that support transgender employees' rights and well-being. At Cisco India, we are committed to fostering an inclusive culture where diversity is not just celebrated but also integrated into our business strategies. We believe that by embracing diversity in all its forms, we can drive innovation, foster collaboration, and create a more equitable and sustainable future for all. Let's use this day to amplify the voices of trans individuals, challenge stereotypes, and work towards building a more inclusive society and workforce. Together, we can make a difference and create a world where everyone can thrive, regardless of their gender identity. #TransVisibilityDay #Inclusion #Diversity #PrideAtCisco #Cisco

Pride in belonging to the LGBTQIA+ community isn’t about pride in belonging to Them. It’s about #pride in belonging to Us. Pride in who we become when we ensure that every unique identity is held safe within a framework of acceptance and love. Studies show that #lgbtqiaplus-inclusive companies attract and retain top talent, win more customers, and drive market innovation. But what the data really represents is the fact that when we work to support #inclusion, we unleash the power of people who take pride in #belonging. When people feel safe showing up as they are, they show up as their best selves. This #PrideMonth and through the year, let us work to build spaces where individuals with different identities take pride in belonging to us. #pridemonth2024 #happypride #lgbtqia #allyship #diversityequityinclusion #recruitment #recruiting #staffing Staffing Industry Analysts KellyOCG Allegis Global Solutions Pontoon Solutions Talent Solutions TAPFIN ManpowerGroup Magnit Guidant Global Monument Consulting Quintrix, by Mindlance Mindlance India Mindlance Health Vik Kalra Rajat Paul Dhall Rick Ryan Nicki Oakley Dana Ailsworth

BMG is once again one of the “most LGBTIQ+-friendly employers” in Germany🏳️🌈 BMG is for the third time in a row represented in the Uhlala Group's “Pride Index” this year, making it one of the “Most LGBTIQ+-friendly employers in Germany”. BMG is one of the three medium-sized companies with the highest overall score in the annual “LGBTIQ+ Diversity Performance Index (Pride Index)” of the social enterprise Uhlala Group, which is based on an evaluation of initiatives in the workplace.📊 BMG achieved 100 percent in the categories “DEI Management”, “Education, Training & Awareness”, “Internal Communication” and “Protection against Discrimination”. BMG is the only music company in the overall ranking and, according to its own statements, aims to promote an inclusive workplace for all people through its commitment to the LGBTIQ+ community. “DEI” stands for ‘Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’.🫂 This year, a wide variety of Pride-themed events took place at BMG locations around the world. The Pride Week at the Berlin headquarters included an “Allyship Workshop”, a Pride Party, a Queer Walking Tour and a Charity Bake Sale, as well as participation in the official Christopher Street Day parade in Berlin together with other Bertelsmann divisions via the be.queer LGBTIQ -plus- and allies at bertelsmann network.🎊 “This award fills us with pride, but is no reason to rest on our laurels,” says Pierrot Raschdorff, Senior Director Global Corporate Responsibility at BMG. “Especially in challenging times, when discrimination and hostility - especially towards queer people - are on the rise, it is all the more important to continue DEI's work intensively and turn work environments into real 'safe spaces'. Places where everyone can feel safe, respected and valued.”🤝 Markus Jeroma, Director Global Talent Acquisition at BMG, explains: “At BMG, diversity is an integral part of our culture and inspires our creativity. “It is the time of the year again when we celebrate #Pridemonth. As I walk into the office every day, the bright bold Pride flag at the entrance reminds me of how inclusion and diversity are ingrained in Honeywell’s DNA. LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the Indian corporate sector has come a long way, and celebrations are one way to sustain our momentum. At Honeywell, we understand that our strength lies in our differences, and we're committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels respected, valued, safe and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work every day. Honeywell India launched its LGBTQ+ ERG in the year 2022 and as we celebrate two years to this ERG, I am honored to share the cultural changes and allyship that we have been able to foster within the organization. Adopting gender-neutral policies, conducting impactful panel discussions, awareness sessions are some of our many ways to walk the talk and take a top-down approach in establishing our commitment for a non-discriminatory workplace. Last year Honeywell won the IWEI 2023 bronze award for Workplace Inclusion and this has been a monumental win for us to establish a message within employees as well as external ecosystem that how seriously we embrace #Pride. It is important for leaders and managers to understand that embracing diversity isn't just the right thing to do; it's also good for business. Research consistently shows that diverse teams are more innovative, creative, and ultimately more successful. As we continue to champion diversity and inclusion, let's recommit ourselves to fostering a workplace where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued and can be unapologetically themselves. Happy Pride Month! 🌈 #InclusionMatters #DiversityandInclusion #Pride2024 “
