What is the most complex and most important task for founders and the leadership team? "To be on the same page." No matter how much brainstorming is needed, no matter how much convincing is needed, no matter how many fights are required, what matters for the growth of the company is "All decision-makers and leaders to be on the same page." Where the leaders have diverse views, disagree, and fail to arrive at one conclusion, the company can never thrive, as its strength is divided and its leaders are not focused on one thing. For the growth of the company, leadership needs to be laser-focused. Even with disagreements, they must all have to arrive at one point. Where this matters most- 1. To give direction to the company and positioning 2. Where to invest and how much 3. What's new to launch 4. Which new geography to target 5. Planning the company's long-term goals and milestones 6. Forecasting and budget planning 7. Key and important decisions like hiring VPs, Heads, and firing also 8. Bringing governance Diverse views can definitely bring the best to the table, but only if leaders arrive at one conclusion. It's important for founders and the leadership team to ensure alignment and unity of vision. So, it depends on the founders how to manage this. Founders need to be very good at it. Otherwise this also leads to separation, your senior folks may leave or sometime results in dissolution of partnership as well. I have seen most of the partnerships break at that level.
