On November 9, 2023, the Court of Justice of the European Union issued a press release regarding the Judgment in Case C-319/22. The Court ruled that car manufacturers must make vehicle identification numbers available to independent operators and provide access to all vehicle repair and maintenance information. The Court also held that car manufacturers are required to set up a database covering information on parts that can be replaced by spare parts, including the inclusion of vehicle identification numbers in the database. Traceability is becoming significantly important not only from the perspective of manufacturers but also as a governmental compliance standard. Solutions featuring traceability functions, such as AGW, help effortlessly monitor raw materials and products at every production stage while ensuring compliance with international standards. #Traceability #Compliance #Automotive #manufacturingexcellence https://lnkd.in/df8xuKDS
