This year's Natural Resource Trust Index survey is out and we need your feedback! Best of all, you can receive your own personalized (and private) score after you submit from iTOTEM Analytics, with a link to a live dashboard that will show you the overall results for the community. I will be moderating a panel at the BC Natural Resources Forum on Jan. 15 that will dive deeper into the results, so I'd really appreciate it if you could take five minutes to take the survey. 🙏 This survey measures the sentiment of the sector, providing valuable leading indicators to inform Nations, regulators, policy makers, suppliers, labour groups, educators, land and business owners, community groups and others. It's hard to think of anyone in Canada who doesn't have a stake in our natural resource sector, underscoring it's importance to all of us. ✨ The link to the survey is in the iTOTEM post. You can access last year's inaugural report at iTOTEM's website (blog section): https://www.itotem.io/
What's your trust score? Take the Natural Resource Trust Index (NRTI) survey to see how your trust score stacks up with BC’s natural resource community. For every completed survey, iTOTEM Analytics will donate $5 to United Way BC – North. Click the following link to take the survey: https://lnkd.in/gWsa42Ch #TrustedInsights

A very interesting approach.
At 1% for the Planet, we believe that small contributions from many businesses and individuals can collectively create significant impact at a larger scale. By becoming a builder and pledging a monthly donation, you can help provide sustained support for people and the planet—and join a community dedicated to amplifying our impact together. Each monthly contribution helps direct vital support to strengthen a network of over 5,000 members supporting thousands of environmental organizations addressing our four impact areas: rights to nature, resilient communities, conservation and restoration, and just economies. For every $1 you donate, we certify $13 in donations to environmental nonprofit partners around the globe. Wondering about the impact of your contributions? As a builder, you'll receive quarterly updates right in your inbox, showcasing how your support is helping us move towards our goal of achieving $1 billion in certified impact. Ready to be a part of something bigger? Join our group of builders today and help us amplify global environmental impact together! #onepercentfortheplanet #BecomeABuilder

This is a tough time for climate action. Federal leadership will soon end and funds that support energy transitions and incentives will most likely dramatically decline. This change will push activity to the state and local levels, requiring us to work together more collaboratively. To meet these new challenges, ClimateWork Maine has received a $50,000 challenge grant from two anonymous donors who believe that ClimateWork Maine is uniquely positioned to help coordinate climate action across the state. Please help us raise $50,000 to match this ‘Challenge Grant’ by January 20, 2025. With these new resources, we will be able to increase our capacity to support Maine’s climate action. The $50,000 grant will match new contributions we receive between now and January 20, 2025. Your donation will help build a new and broader grassroots movement for climate action that includes not only businesses but all people working on these issues. Please do what you can so that we can take advantage of this opportunity, and double the effect of your dollars at the same time. Remember, ClimateWork Maine is a 501(c)(3) organization and your contributions are tax deductible. Click to donate:

When you support Indigenous-led organizations, you’re not just donating—you’re investing in Mother Earths survival and justice for all. Your contributions are the foundation of our work, driving initiatives that empower Indigenous communities to lead, thrive, and define their futures on their own terms. Now, as we approach a key moment in history—the presidential inauguration is just days away—our mission remains more critical than ever. The passage of HR9495 reminds us of the need to stand firm in our resolve. Regardless of the status imposed on us by this colonial system, our work will continue. We are building a future where Indigenous autonomy, environmental stewardship, and justice are not just ideals, but lived realities. This is not just about a single moment; it’s about a movement. Each donation you make fuels direct action, strengthens community leadership, and builds momentum toward a more equitable and sustainable world. Together, we can seize this historic opportunity to amplify Indigenous voices and ensure they are central to shaping the path forward. Let’s act now, with urgency and intention. This is a pivotal time to ensure the groundwork we’ve laid translates into lasting change. Join us in creating a world that honors and uplifts Indigenous resilience and wisdom. Every dollar counts. Every voice matters. Together, we are the movement. Donate today at https://lnkd.in/gd7YDzHi

How would we act if we truly loved the future? 🌏 I had the privilege of attending Fresh Energy's Benefit Breakfast, featuring the inspiring Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson. Her message centered around that simple yet profound question. Her solutions-oriented approach emphasized that it's not enough to discuss the problems of climate change; we must also be practical problem solvers, leveraging technology, policy, and nature. She highlighted several key insights: 💡 Leverage Existing Tech Utilize tools like AI climate modeling, energy storage systems, and smart grids to make immediate impact. ☀️ Policy for Energy Access Implement measures like community solar and affordable battery storage to make clean energy accessible for all. 🌾 Design with Nature Integrate practices like regenerative agriculture and green buildings to create sustainable, resilient systems. Her insights align deeply with strategic foresights frameworks, showing that action is within our grasp if we focus on these key areas. The intersection of technology, policy, and functional design is not only the way forward but the solution we need. #StrategicForesight #Innovation #EmergingTech #ClimateAction #Sustainability
