Despite being invisible to our eyes, microorganisms are like small factories. Given the right instructions, they can #biomanufacture molecules used in food & feed, detergents, cosmetics and biomaterials sectors. They can also act directly on their environments, for benefits in agricultural, environmental and health applications. 🍏🌲♻️ The EU is slowly recognizing their immense potential and key role in unleashing Europe's bioeconomy and innovation across industries. 🏭 But more is needed. I recently attended a five-day webinar series on Biomimicry for Sustainable Development organized by gap Research Center Center in collaboration with the India-Sri Lanka Foundation.The webinar provided deep insights into the potential of biomimicry in driving innovation and sustainability across various sectors. It was a truly enlightening discussion, and I found it particularly interesting to learn about the practical applications and impact of biomimicry in today's world. #sustainabledevelopment #biomimicry #greenerfuture
