🎉Calling Scottish start-ups, spinouts and SMEs with a focus on Women’s Health! 🎉 The Accelerating Femtech programme has opened applications for its second cohort and you could be part of it!  Funded by Innovate UK and the Medical Research Council, this national programme helps start-ups, spinouts and early-stage companies to gain commercial and funding momentum. Delivered by Health Innovation Network South London, the programme will offer a blend of online and in-person support to enhance product development, entrepreneurship skills and stakeholder engagement across the NHS and academia. Participants will also be supported to prepare for a special closed-call feasibility funding opportunity through the Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst, delivered alongside a collaborative learning programme and facilitated networking with key NHS and health sector stakeholders. 📣 Deep Dive into Day 7 of our BioEntrepreneurship & Innovation (BEI) program! 🚀 Today was packed with incredible insights thanks to our special guest, Michio Painter, PhD, Head Translational Medicines Accelerator (tma), who generously shared stories from his own entrepreneurial journey and extensive experience working with startups and innovative projects. 🔍Understanding customer needs: - Michio shared strategies for identifying and segmenting potential customers - We explored techniques to validate market needs and pain points - Michio guided us through creating unique value propositions for each stakeholder - We practiced articulating benefits tailored to different perspectives Michio insisted that these learnings are vital to ensure lifesciences projects are better, have more chances to secure funding and eventually reach patients and benefit society! 🌎 🎤 Solution Showcase: Our aspiring entrepreneurs presented their innovative ideas and their key customers, receiving real-time feedback from Michio and peers. Today, I’m reflecting on key insights I gained from Samir Mitragotri, a Professor and Researcher at the Harvard Innovation Labs where he focuses on advancing the fields of chemical engineering and drug delivery. His work has led to groundbreaking discoveries in biomedical technology and the use of AI-driven simulations in drug discovery. 🌟 Day 10: Innovation and Impact—Lessons from Harvard Innovation Labs 🌟 During my session with Dr. Mitragotre, his message was clear: The world’s future is in innovation. With expertise in fields like biotechnology and AI, Dr. Mitragotri has pioneered research in hatchback therapy and other cutting-edge drug delivery methods. His work emphasizes that success lies in focusing on solving the world’s most pressing problems with advanced technology. 💡 Key Lessons from Innovation and Entrepreneurship: 1. Innovation is Everything: The future lies in staying at the forefront of breakthroughs in fields like biotech and AI-driven healthcare, particularly in areas like drug discovery and affordable therapies. 2.
