Today, we began the third week of Advent, a time to focus on joy. There are many reasons to be joyful, especially as we celebrate the joy that comes through Jesus' arrival and the salvation He has gifted us. Philippians 4:4-5 reminds us: "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near." As we reflect on this message of joy, we invite you to help spread hope and joy to those in need. You can make a difference by donating or volunteering with us. Visit catholiccharitiesny.org to learn how you can get involved today.

James 1:27 shows us true religion in God's eyes. Instead of doing rituals and sacrifices to show our beliefs and how "spiritual" we are, we should instead do as Jesus did and care for the widows and orphans to show the pure heart of God. As the light in darkness and disparity we are doing just that. We must not let the world influence and discourage us. Would you consider supporting us financially at https://lnkd.in/dJDBC4Xx where our vision to rethink how orphanages and shelters are designed and managed to be more accessible and sustainable all on a much larger scale thus allowing for more effective means of caring and treatment of the most vulnerable in society. All donations are tax deductible. #thegoodshepherdshouse #nonprofitorganization #nonprofit

For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. Mathew 26:11 We have countless opportunities to help those in need! Our world is imperfect, and poverty will always be a huge concern. We can actively help those in need by donating to local charities, participating in fundraising for missionary projects, and praying over the hearts of those who are hurting. Prayer is powerful, and we can change the world by calling on the name of the Lord. Dear Lord, we will watch over those in need. You have blessed each of us with skills and finances so we may provide care for those who are physically and spiritually unable to provide for themselves. In Jesus' Name, Amen. #spiritualityandspiritualsouls #brainexpansiongroup

Generosity from the Heart "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap." - Luke 6:38 As professionals and individuals, we're often blessed with resources to make a difference. But true generosity starts from the heart, not just the wallet. "Remember, the Lord your God is the one who gives you power to prosper." - Deuteronomy 8:18 Let's cultivate a spirit of generosity, not for recognition or reward, but because it honors God. "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." - Proverbs 11:25 If you're led to support a noble cause, consider our Charity organization, empowering communities through self-sustainability projects. DM for more info or to contribute. Let's spread generosity! #GenerosityMatters #GiveFromTheHeart #BlessedToBeABlessing #CharitySupport #Philanthropy #MakeADifference #Luke638 #Deuteronomy818 #Proverbs1125 #Nonprofit #SocialImpact #CommunityDevelopment

Understanding Rosh Hashanah and Its Importance What is Rosh Hashanah? The Jewish New Year is observed on Rosh Hashanah, which falls in October this year. Families and friends gather to pray and have a dinner that includes traditional dishes like honey dipped apples, signifying the expectation for a fruitful and prosperous new year. This tradition begins as the sun sets. The term "Rosh Hashanah" originates from Hebrew and simply means "beginning of the year." However, Rosh Hashanah marks more than just the beginning of a new year, it honors the first human relationship and our connection to God's creation, marking the creation of Adam and Eve some 5,700 years ago. Why Isn’t the Israelis & Jewish New Year Celebrated on January 1st? Due to the lunisolar nature of the Jewish calendar, which is based on both the cycles of the sun and moon, the Jewish New Year does not fall on January 1st. This calendar was used long before the Gregorian calendar, which is still in use by Israelis & Jewish people today. It has 12 months and a year that lasts 353 to 355 days. How OMEA is Bringing Hope and Restoration OMEA is working hard this Rosh Hashanah to bring hope and joy to families impacted by the ongoing war by distributing food packages. OMEA is helping 200 families, and we need your financial support and prayers. Each food package costs $40, and by donating, you will provide relief to these families during these difficult times. 👉 To Join our Mission, Donate Now!! 🌐 visit: https://lnkd.in/eJ4-xet4 #OMEA #HumanitarianAid #MedicalAssistance #GazaIsraelConflict #CrisisRelief #HopeAndRelief #HumanitarianSupport #PeaceAndHope #MiddleEastCrisis #AidAndSupport #israel #RoshHashanah #JewishNewYear #jewishholidays

Inspiration before Information. It’s one of 4 pillars that undergird our work Money for Ministry. People leave a gift in their will to your ministry, because… Your work aligns with their passions and expresses hope they hold deep within themselves. --A gift in their will is a way to WORSHIP God with all that he has given them. --A gift in their will demonstrates a legacy of faith to their kids and grandkids --A gift in their will is a way to pass on values of faith, generosity, and service --A gift in their will tells the next generation of the goodness of God --A gift in their will is a person’s last and final act of generosity, yet extends beyond their lifetime. How are you helping your donors see your work as an act of their worship and an expression of their faith? #nonprofit #fundraising #legacy #christianvalues #giftinyourwill

If you're like me, then you know how easy it is to get WAY over-scheduled and immersed in your own to-do list during the holiday season. Thanksgiving felt so relaxing, and then💥boom💥, the rush of holiday preparations, shopping, and celebrations now engulfs every waking moment. In all that holiday fun and chaos, #GivingTuesday is like a ✨ lighthouse on the shore ✨ providing a consistent, immovable beam of light that reminds us to pause in the flurry of activities and gift shopping to contemplate the giving of something far more impactful than the gifts we place under the tree — the gift of transformed life. Today, countless worthy charities and non-profits are asking all of us to take just one day out of 365 and consider giving a small portion of our resources to help a great cause. Since I work for non-profit, of course I would love for you to consider giving to Global Media Outreach today, but what's 💯 FAR, FAR more important 💯 is that you pause to reflect, search your heart, and CHOOSE to GIVE in the FIRST PLACE. No matter where you live, work, or play, there are hungry souls and starving people who need a light that you are called to shine. Please pause and then give today to a cause or charity that 🫶 resonates deeply with your values and heart. 🫶 If you do feel the call to support global evangelism and discipleship through a gift to Global Media Outreach today, our 🎁 GivingTuesday campaign link 🎁 is below.
