During National Handwashing Awareness Week, remember to follow these five steps every time. ✔️ Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply soap. ✔️ Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. On World Handwashing Day, I wanted to share a little story about how I got my boys excited about hand hygiene. I noticed that getting them to wash their hands was more of a chore than a habit. So, I decided to turn it into a game! I explained that germs are like invisible monsters hiding on our hands, and the only way to defeat them is by washing with soap for 20 seconds. Soon enough, they were the ones reminding me to wash my hands and proudly teaching their friends about it too. It’s amazing how a little creativity can instill lifelong habits!
