Good afternoon energy fans, we are back. In my last video I spoke about the importance of maintenance and the bearing it can have on energy consumption. Good regular maintenance schedule correctly will ensure plant and equipment continue to run efficiently. That is a gear given. However, the biggest missed opportunity I see in maintenance lies within compressed. Nine out of every 10 clients I see who have compressed air systems have leaks within those systems. So if you have compressed air, I want you to ask yourself the following question. When did you last have a leak detection test? If the answer to this question is longer than 12 months ago, I suggest you build leak detection detection testing into your annual Maintenance Pro program. A good leak detection test will tell you the location of the leaks, the size of the leaks, the cost of the leaks, and the cost to repair the leaks. Now, once you've had the leak detection test, make sure you follow up and get those. Leaks repaired. Whilst this sounds obvious, I've been to many sites where they've had a leak detection test. They've had the leaks tagged, but they haven't followed through and had those leaks repaired. Remember, improve maintenance leads to improved efficiency. I'll see you next time.

Air leakage testing evaluates the amount of air that escapes through cracks in a raised access floor system with underfloor air distribution.
