There are some great words of wisdom in here - definitely worth a read!
It’s no secret that the media, tech, and advertising industries are still largely male-dominated, which is why co-hosting our recent #WomeninMedia Breakfast with our friends at Index Exchange felt so special. ⭐ As a follow-up, we wanted to capture the collective wisdom from the incredible women who attended by asking them: 💡 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳? Check out their inspiring responses here -> https://hubs.li/Q02RwfsQ0 🙌 Huge thanks to our blog participants: Victoria Shaul, MCM, Stacy Gomez Cragin, Lora Logan, Shannon Rudd, Jackie L. There is a problem in the marketing industry that we don’t talk about enough, . . . . the isolation and lack of community that many women marketers feel. As a female marketer myself, I’ve experienced it firsthand. It can be incredibly difficult for women to break into the inner circles in a male-dominated workplace and find mentors. When I started Women Marketers Collective (WMC), for the first time, I was in a room full of successful, driven women who understood exactly what I was going through. We made connections that led to meaningful connections, friendships, collaborations, and advice that made me realize I am not alone. This post is for any women in marketing or male allies who want to help the women in their lives find empowering communities. Let’s start building the community we’ve been missing - one that empowers us to achieve our career goals in marketing and lift each other up along the way. Who’s with me? 😊 Our next collective is scheduled for 8th June 2024, please feel free to comment below for the registration link. #womenmarketerscollective #wmc #womeninmarketing #womenenterpreneurs #womennetworking #womenforwomen

It’s been less than a week and we’ve already done so much! This week is going to be even more active and I know my lovely ladies are ready to put in the work (you all had better be!). Over the weekend, I recorded over 10 lessons to guide them through the tasks for this week. I’m looking forward to reviewing their work once again. This programme has me rethinking my life’s choices and decisions, LMAO. But just looking at the responses for the first assessment and spotting some areas these women can leverage to get better business results, is enough to keep me going. Enough said. I’ll see you soon with another update. #BusinessFoundations #WomenOwnedBusinesses #MarketingSpecialist

In my mastermind for women in business, I amplify the voices of women experts, especially for women of color ( I encourage everyone to actively search for and share their webinars, books etc.). When I look back at everything I‘ve read in my life, from classical literature to psychology, philosophy, marketing and more, 90% of all the books taught from and recommended in school, from primary to my Masters, were written by men. And while they have an important contribution, this just plays into the unbalanced way we see expertise. So many women, in Switzerland and worldwide, didn’t find Kamala Harris qualified enough ( even though the facts on the paper showed her long trackrecord of service) and are standing in contrast with the ones of the candidate who won. This is why, and this is especially important for LinkedIn, it is not only about women doing excellent work. It is about consistent visibility and highlighting your results. #personalbranding #linkedind #womeninbusiness https://lnkd.in/eVNh4a4e
