My colleague Allyson Kitchel shares some of the best advice on what lawyers, in particular law firm owners, can do to mitigate the outcome of the 2024 election. Simply put, make more money.💰💸💵 Money is power. Money enables us to fund candidates and causes. Money gets things done. I spent 2017-2020 fighting pipelines, utility mergers and eminent domain. Did some of my best work but barely moved the dial. If money is what it takes to put us back on course, then I’m all in. If you’re interested in starting a law firm to make more money, register for Make 2025 the Year You Start Your Law Firm and you’ll receive the recorded webinar within 72 hours. Link in comments.

I’m not ready to process the election. I can’t bear it to look at the news. I need to control the controllable. That’s me. So I’m doubling down on my business. 2025 is the year we get serious about growth so that I can seriously contribute money to political candidates, orgs that support empowering women, and voters rights organizations. What organizations are on your radar as being poised to fight in the next four years? I’m ready to help! #lawmom #triallawyer #vote
At the risk of alienating my friends, I have a modest proposal. How about we all recognize that trying to tell ordinary people how they should live their lives, and calling them names, is not the way to get them to vote for your candidate? How about we all stop judging other people who don't share our views of the world and of politics? How about we try to spend some time supporting people like RFK, Jr. and Nicole Shanahan who want to help people be healthier, and turn our guns on the corporate elites who control our medicines and food supply? You want to make money and use it to support candidates that hold your world view? Great. The other side has been doing that for a long time. Put some of that money behind reform of the food and drug industries that have done such harm to us for such a long time.
I happen to know plenty of women owned legal marketing and business development companies that can help law firms make more money to invest it where it counts.
We could turn it all around by only working with women.
