Most of my law school classmates aspired for jobs at biglaw. Even now, 35 years later, law school placement offices will do anything to draw big firms to campus. But even back in law school, I knew biglaw wasn’t big enough for me. 🧳Not big enough for my aspirations of using the law to somehow change the world. 💼Not even big enough for my name on the door or a signature block of a brief. Biglaw has been kind to many of my classmates and it has its big supporters here on LinkedIn. Fair enough. But also know this: if you think biglaw isn’t a big deal, you’re not crazy or alone. (I may not be crazy for biglaw but I can’t resist a big chair).

Considering the massive sums of debt students take on to attend undergraduate and law school today, it's no wonder they aspire to Big Law where they can earn oodles of money just to pay back their loans.
Biglaw isn't the only path to a fulfilling legal career. As lawyers, we have so many options!
