In yesterday's virtual event hosted by our CEO and Founder Angie Vaux, we delved into an important conversation about allyship; how we can take meaningful action and become better allies. This discussion aligns perfectly with National Inclusion Week and this year’s theme: #ImpactMatters So, what are some steps we can start taking today to support each other? Here’s a summary of the valuable insights shared by our incredible panellists: Almarni Khan, Global Inclusion and Diversity Program Manager, GBG Plc ▶ Allyship is an ongoing journey of learning, unlearning, and embracing discomfort, with no end point. Recognise your privilege as a tool to empower others, and focus on the impact of your actions, not just intentions. Mistakes are part of the process; accountability and growth are what drive real progress. Rituja Ravikiran Rao, Senior Technical Integrations Manager, Deliveroo ▶ Allyship isn’t a label; it’s something you practise every day. A great way to begin is by joining employee resource or D&I groups, where you can reflect on your own experiences and privileges. As you engage in these discussions, you'll naturally find yourself becoming an ally. Michael Kenway, Senior Recruiter EMEA, Airtable ▶ Start small and take the first step: whether it's joining a group, attending an event, or having a conversation. Stay curious and open-minded, letting your passion guide you. Each small action builds confidence and contributes to meaningful change over time. ⏺ The event recording is now available to members on our platform: https://lnkd.in/dQYEfFwx We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! What is #allyship to you? That was the first question of the panel and it kick started a brilliant discussion on #accountability, #privilege, #intersectionality and #authenticity. I had a brilliant time on this Women in Tech forum panel, discussing my journey of allyship and hearing from Michael Kenway and Rituja Ravikiran Rao on their perspectives. The key points I try to drive home around allyship are: * Allyship is a call to action, a responsibility for those who are on the journey of learning. We cannot unlearn bias, and not take action. * Allyship cannot be a self-appointed title. It’s a term of recognition we are given by those we are supporting, based on our actions to dismantle systems of oppression and enable marginalised groups to liberate themselves. * Privilege doesn’t have to be the enemy of progress or allyship – in fact when those in positions of privilege speak out for the disadvantaged or provide them with space and opportunity to advocate for themselves, we see real change occur * No person is just one thing, we are multi-faceted beings. So, allies and advocates need to create spaces that enable conversations around the more nuanced and specific experiences of diverse groups. * Allyship is a process of learning and unlearning, we will make mistakes. We need to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, acknowledging our impact and accepting where we may need to make changes. Next week, GBG starts a series of webinars for our team on how to be consciously inclusive allies, through the lens of a variety of diverse experiences! I look forward to engaging with the GBG Plc team on the topic of Allyship! #impactmatters #nationalinclusionweek #womenintech #inclusion #diversity #womenequality

As we mark Withum’s golden anniversary, I am filled with immense pride to be part of this remarkable journey. Withum isn’t just a firm; it’s a family. Our enduring culture, unwavering commitment to our people, and visionary leadership have been the cornerstones of our success. 🤝 Proud to Be a Partner: From day one, I’ve felt the spirit of partnership at Withum. We collaborate, innovate, and elevate each other. It’s not just about the work; it’s about the collective impact we create. 🌟 An Amazing Culture: Our culture isn’t just a buzzword—it’s our DNA. It’s the camaraderie during coffee breaks, the encouragement during tough projects, and the shared laughter that echoes through our offices. It’s what makes Withum feel like home. 🙌 Great Mentors: I’ve been fortunate to learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry. Our mentors don’t just teach—they inspire. They invest in our growth, challenge us to think bigger, and guide us toward excellence. 🌟 People First: At Withum, it’s not about numbers; it’s about people. Our leadership genuinely cares about our well-being. Whether it’s flexible work arrangements, professional development, or celebrating personal milestones, they put us first. 🚀 The Reason for Our Success: In my opinion, our people-first approach is the secret sauce behind our achievements.
