I recently had a great conversation with one of my clients who's getting ready to launch her product-based business. She's been putting in the work—email list building, refining her website, and even setting up collaborations with aligned brands. But the most powerful reminder I gave her was this: Success isn't about massive leaps; it's about small, consistent steps. Mel Robbins often talks about the power of taking action in her podcast. She says, “You're never going to feel like it.” It's a reminder that waiting for motivation isn't the key—it's about showing up daily, even when it feels hard, even when the progress seems slow. My client's small wins—finalizing her email list, working on blog content—are adding up to something huge. If you're on the entrepreneurial journey, I want you to remember that building a business is a marathon, not a sprint. You might not hit every goal in one shot, but as long as you keep moving forward, you're already ahead. What small step can you take today that will push your business forward? #WomenInBusiness #EntrepreneurJourney #SmallBusinessOwners #FemaleEntrepreneurs #MelRobbinsInspiration
Carlyn, the one small step that ALL of us can take is today is the step that we predict will be successful. Otherwise stated, set yourself up one "win". Getting one win under our belt will almost guarantee that we'll want to take the next steps thereafter.
I’m going to send out 5 more new emails and 5 follow ups!
Such a great reminder!

1moCarlyn - I love recognizing and celebrating all the small wins and steps along the way. There is also a wave of momentum that one can ride when they are on the other side of "the hard thing" - you know, just like after a cold plunge, it sucked doing it but feels so good after. I love to lean into those moments and stack other "uncomfortable" tasks. During that wave they don't feel nearly as scary. I find most of us are in the "Yes! Let's do this!" phase on the other side of hard.
