On Day 3 of #16DaysOfActivism, we are reminded that gender-based violence is not just a women's issue, but a human rights issue. Violence against women and girls is perpetuated by a culture of patriarchy, toxic masculinity, and gender norms that subjugate women and girls. We must break the silence, challenge these harmful norms, and stand up for gender equality. When we fail to hold perpetrators accountable, when we fail to provide support and resources for survivors, we are complicit in the cycle of violence. Let's speak up and demand change. Let's pledge to promote a culture of respect, empathy, and equality where all genders are treated with dignity and humanity. Let's do our part to break the cycle of violence and create a world free from gender-based violence. #NoExcuse #16DaysOfActivism2024 #16Days #SayNoToGBV #UniteToEndGBV #EndGBV #OrangeToTheWorld

Today marks 35 years since the tragic mass shooting in Quebec, a heartbreaking event that claimed innocent lives and left a lasting impact on families and communities. As we remember the victims, especially the women who were targeted, we are reminded of the systemic issues that contribute to gender-based violence. This anniversary calls us to reflect not only on the tragedy itself but also on the ongoing fight for gender equality, women’s rights, and the dismantling of toxic masculinity. The events of that day underscore the need for continued efforts to create spaces where women are safe, valued, and heard—both in society and in the workplace. As we honor the memory of those lost, let us renew our commitment to building a future where violence against women is no longer tolerated and where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. #NeverForget #GenderEquality #WomenInLeadership #EndGenderBasedViolence #strongertogether #mominsecurity #securityprofessional #webelonghere

Violence against women is a global human rights crisis affecting individuals, families, and societies. On this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we reaffirm: that enough is enough. #NoExcuse UNiTE to End Violence against Women The facts are alarming: ➡️ 1 in 3 women experiences physical or sexual violence in her lifetime. ➡️ Every 11 minutes, a woman or girl is killed by an intimate partner or family member. ➡️ Less than 40% of survivors report incidents, often due to fear, stigma, or lack of support. These are not just statistics—they represent lives impacted by deeply rooted gender inequalities, harmful stereotypes, and power imbalances. Eliminating this injustice requires challenging discriminatory norms and promoting gender equality at all levels. Comment to show your solidarity and let’s keep the conversation going. #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #GenderEqualityNow #StopGBV #OrangeTheWorld #WomenEmpowerment #TogetherWeCan #SayNoToViolence #Socialcause #Unite

🟧 #OrangeTheWorld 2024: A Gender-Just World is Possible As the #16DaysofActivism Against Gender-Based Violence wrap up today on #HumanRightsDay, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what we’ve achieved together, and the work that remains ahead. This year, through #OrangeTheWorld, we shared our vision of a world where survivors of gender-based crimes find justice and support, where perpetrators are held accountable, and where laws and policies embrace equity and intersectionality. From our campaign launch on November 25 covering topics such as gender persecution and reproductive violence to amplifying gender justice at #ASP23, we stood united with our civil society allies and global movements to end gender-based violence. This #HumanRightsDay, we’re reminded that gender equality isn’t just a goal - it’s the foundation for peaceful and sustainable societies. By advancing gender justice, societies uphold the very essence of human rights for all. 📸 Pictured: Members of our team, including our #InternationalGenderChampion Alix Vuillemin at the ASP, together in orange for the week. 🧡 🔗 Learn more and get involved: https://lnkd.in/eCpPe2TH #HumanRightsDay #OrangeTheWorld #GenderJustice #EndGBVNow #16DaysOfActivism #JusticeForSurvivors #InternationalGenderChampion #IGC
