It's pleasure to inform that I'am also member of working group on CCU (Carbon capture and utilisation) for the ICM forum (Industrial Carbon management forum) https://lnkd.in/d-vtwTeC The next edition of this forum will be in Pau, France between 10-11 october and will be co-hosted by French Ministry of Energy and DG-ENER. It's the first time that we will have a dedicated working group for CCU and we already started the work with interesting discussions and the preparation of a draft report on enabling conditions for industrial deployment of CCU. The first global funding call for project proposals from the Accelerate-to-Demonstrate (A2D) Facility has been published by UNIDO on their Procurement Portal. The programme is part of the Ayrton Fund commitment to support clean energy Research, Development and Demonstration (RD&D) in ODA-eligible countries and is funded with an initial £65 million from DESNZ. The proposals must support the implementation of catalytic and scalable pilot demonstration projects of innovative clean energy solutions in developing countries in the following four thematic areas: · critical minerals · clean hydrogen · smart energy · industrial decarbonization

Had a terrific time Wednesday as moderator of the very first conference where all of the Norwegian research centres on environment-friendly energy came together and collaborated as hosts. These research centres are so important for our ability to address the climate and energy challenges. Amongst others, I learned that the centres provide us with: - Ph.D.-candidates with a very strong relevance in their research education. - A collaboration arena that serves as a growth platform for academic development and shorten the lead time for innovations to be put in to use. - Value creation: Impact studies show that you get innovations and societal effects worth at least four times the investment in the centres. - A strong focus from both the research and industry on topics of crucial importance to the sustainability of our society. - The improve our research institutes and universities through facilitating and enhancing new internal and external collaborations. In sum they boost our innovation ecosystem in ways we are completely dependent on if we are to succeed in transitioning to a very necessary climate neutral future. Hopefully our politicians will find ways to put of all of the knowledge and innovations from the centres in to use.
