ADAS calibration is not a straightforward task and requires specialised training and expertise. This is the biggest challenge my customers face, and in essence, is the reason why we do what we do. Technicians must be well-versed in the intricacies of various ADAS components and systems, understand the specific calibration procedures for different vehicles, and stay updated with the latest industry standards and technologies. Continuous training and professional development are essential to maintain a high level of competency. If workshops can’t invest in equipment, ongoing education, and certification programmes to ensure their technicians can perform accurate and reliable ADAS calibrations – maybe a mobile ADAS calibration partner would be the perfect solution. And that's where I can help. No faff, just the right expertise when and where you need it - 07554 326686. #ADASCalibration #ADASChallenges

🚗 Not Enough ADAS Technicians! 🛠️ 📉 The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) has raised an alarming concern: there's a worrying gap between the growing presence of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and the number of certified technicians to maintain them. Currently, 13% of vehicles on the road have some level of autonomy, yet only 2% of UK technicians are IMI TechSafe registered and qualified to handle these complex systems. This disparity poses significant risks as ADAS is a stepping stone to fully automated vehicles. 👨🔧 What does this mean for the industry? With the Automated Vehicles Bill 2024 receiving Royal Assent in May, and ADAS-equipped cars increasing from 11% to 13% in just half a year, the demand for properly trained technicians is more urgent than ever. IMI's Kevin Finn underscores the necessity for more technicians to join their training programs to ensure the safe servicing and repair of these advanced technologies. To bridge this gap, our team at www.cb-recruitment.co.uk is dedicated to connecting automotive businesses with qualified technicians.
