Over the past few weeks, my emotions have shifted from slight anxiety to sheer excitement as I prepare to start as adjunct faculty at Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business. I've been contemplating the idea of whether college students should address me as Professor Glass or if a first-name basis is acceptable. With a background in healthcare and a focus on fostering trust and creating a safe learning environment, titles seem less important to me. I value building meaningful relationships over formalities.
