Completion Rates are more important than finding the perfect pair of Lederhosen ... ▶ They show if your content is more engaging than a fan of the FC Bayern Munich ▶ High rates mean your digital Biergarten is keeping folks entertained and coming back for more ▶ They help you spot where people are falling off the Oktoberfest wagon, a.k.a losing interest in product experience How to Boost Your Completion Rates 🚀? ▶ Keep it shorter than a Bavarian drinking song. People love bite-sized content ▶ Make it more engaging than the macarena. You could use gamification and rewards ▶ Set clear expectations like a well-organized dictionary. Let people know what they're in for, is it beer? Pretzel? Music? ▶ Offer incentives sweeter than Apfelstrudel (dessert). A little reward goes a long way

I really enjoyed reading this year's Bolster Group and Tixel "Front Row Centre" report. There were a few interesting takes which I wanted to share... ENCOURAGING EARLIER TICKET PURCHASES 1. Knowing friends have tickets to events (32%) – Startups like Like Minded Global and Paysquad are working on this. 2. Offering exclusive perks or access (17%) – For example, meet headliners with holograms through Proto Hologram, Holoconnects, and local manufacturer DreamGlass. MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF FESTIVALS 1. Crowd experience ranks highly (63%), just behind atmosphere (75%) – What does a Hackathon look like where we brainstorm ideas for improving fan experiences at festivals? HotHack AUDIENCE INSIGHTS 1. For 18-24-year-olds, the cost of living impacts their spending on experiences at twice the rate of those 51+. Are there new models that could bring together different generations? I went along to the Archibald Closing party at Art Gallery NSW, which was a great example of bringing together different generations. INDUSTRY SHIFT More broadly as CAST - Centre for Arts, Sports and Technology, we’re working towards a change that would add two additional elements to industry reports: 1. Highlighting Innovation – Shining a light on companies already solving some of the industry's key challenges outlined in reports. 2. An Invitation to Innovate – Opening up discussions on opportunities for innovation based on each report's findings/data. What do the contributors to each report see as the next big opportunities for the industry?

This is the first photo taken in a SingPod. Ever. On my own, as proud as anything. I had lapsed into the first lockdown polishing the first concept. No haircuts. Built from scratch. Build from my own CAD design, which I learnt specifically for this. Built from a vision in my head to change the market offering for a booth. Combining my love for music and event production. I was captivated by the karaoke room concept and I knew I could build something really great and fun and take it on the road. Over 4 years later the trajectory and momentum of SingPods has never been more exciting. Yet, kind of funny when I look back and stubbornly ignored all the positive signs of what I'd created for the first couple years, while forcing myself to build other businesses. I glanced over my first client being Sky TV taking the pod on a tour of the UK. It must have just been a fluke. I looked over All Star Lanes and Westfield utilising SingPods to build Christmas karaoke chalets for their stunning square activation. I looked over Magnum Ice cream making the SingPod the central piece of their classic or remix popup campaign. Virgin booking us for every private team event. Spotify bringing us to their events with a queue so long it wrapped round their reception. American Express trusting us to create a cheer booth where the recordings inside got played in the BHFC stadium at half time. Then month by month more mega brands kept booking the SingPod. McDonald's even asked me to bring the SingPod to Barcelona for them!! I'd actually developed something so fun, people couldn't get enough of it. That feeling of bringing people together in a fun, creative and unique way... That is why I create things. That is why I engulf everything I have into it. Anyway. 2024 isn’t 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020 or any other year you want to name. It’s it’s own thing, we can’t keep using “past models” to predict present future sales/trends. What used to work doesn’t work anymore. 2020-2030 will end more classic industries than we could ever imagine. All creative positions will be AI. All hospitality/customer service will be automated. - no one can afford to go to your show anymore. We are in recession. On the subject of Live Nation:Ticketmaster that are 100% a monopoly and restricting entry to the “event promotion” field. If you don’t go on live nation or Ticketmaster website…you cannot buy a legitimate first-run ticket without physically going to the stadium themselves who do t have an online website but redirect you to Ticketmaster…. You can only buy a previously purchased and re-sold at a higher price ticket… https://lnkd.in/esyQxykS

The Department of Justice suing Live Nation Entertainment for antitrust violations is for politics and optics and it is not legit. Here's why: 1. The standard for an antitrust violation is: Are prices higher for consumers? In this case: NO. Concert ticket fees have gone *down*, relative to inflation, since the 2010 merger. 2. Ticket prices are not set by Ticketmaster. 3. Because of Live Nation's powerful monetization apparatus and Ticketmaster's scale, their fees are, on average, lower than other ticket brokers. 3. There's been many references to Taylor Swift in this reporting. She’s had dates promoted by AEG. None by Live Nation. What are we doing here, people. 4. Again, ticket prices are not set by Ticketmaster!! It's an election year. The administration is trying to fight inflation with these "look, we're protecting the consumer" stories.
