Wrapping up 2024 with a huge thank you to The Arnott's Group for their incredible support of Camp Quality! In 2024, The Arnott’s Foundation continued its incredible commitment to supporting kids and families impacted by cancer, raising nearly $5.6 million since our partnership began almost 20 years ago. This year alone, over $175,000 was donated to Camp Quality, funding critical programs and creating magical moments for families during their cancer journey. Thanks to their generosity, Arnott’s has funded: 💛 2 Kids' Camps – Giving 134 kids the chance to be kids again and make friends with others who understand their journey. 💛 46 Family Getaways – Providing much-needed breaks to reconnect and unwind. 💛 1 Family Camp – Offering 17 families the opportunity to build lifelong connections and supportive communities. But it didn’t stop there. Arnott’s employees from Virginia and North Strathfield got hands-on, volunteering their time in meaningful activities like the Bake and Create sessions with Camp Quality families, the Staff Trivia Fundraising Event, and writing personalised heartfelt birthday cards for kids impacted by cancer. Looking forward to 2025, Camp Quality and The Arnott’s Foundation will celebrate 20 years of partnership – two decades of positivity, fun, and laughter! Thank you, Arnott’s, for your unwavering support and for helping us make a real difference in the lives of kids and families facing cancer. Here’s to another amazing year ahead!

Let’s commit to building more than structures; let’s make a difference
As President of Delta Sigma Phi, I’m honored to be part of an organization that’s passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families battling pediatric cancer. For those who may not know, THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, dedicated to raising funds and awareness for pediatric cancer. THON culminates in a 46-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon, where thousands of Penn State students come together each February to celebrate the year’s efforts and stand in support of the kids and families impacted by childhood cancer. All the funds raised throughout the year benefit the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Children’s Hospital, which ensures that no family with a child battling cancer ever sees a medical bill. It also supports critical research to find a cure. Our chapter is working hard to raise money and awareness for this incredible cause, and I couldn’t be more proud of the commitment our members have shown. Every dollar we raise will make a tangible difference in the lives of these children and their families. If you’d like to join us in our mission, please consider donating to our THON efforts and help us spread the word by sharing this post. Together, we can make a difference #ForTheKids! https://lnkd.in/eRCaXhmb #THON #ForTheKids #PediatricCancer #PennStateProud #DeltaSigmaPhi #Leadership #Philanthropy #FTK #FourDiamonds

Interesting statistics as we quickly approach the back half of 2024: - 12% of all nonprofit giving happens within the last few days of the year - 28% of nonprofits raise up to 50% of their annual donations during year-end campaigns - 30% of all nonprofit donations happen during the month of December How do you support your preferred charities? If you participate in Giving Tuesday, what is your motivation? My motivation is the great organizations I get to support through donating to charity teams like Imerman Angels. This year I'm starting Giving Tuesday early by kicking off fundraising for the 2024 Chicago Marathon via Team Imerman. Their mission is to provide comfort and understanding for all cancer fighters, survivors, previvor, and caregivers through a personalized one-on-one connection with someone who has been there. Imerman Angels envisions a world where cancer is not a solitary experience.

Hi Connections, This Isn’t Just a Fundraiser. This Is a Movement for Hope. 💙 🤍 This year, I’ve joined THON, not for a regular fundraiser, but for something far bigger. This is a fight for the children who are the heart and soul of our future. It’s about standing together for humanity, for hope, and for the belief that no child should ever face cancer alone. Every donation to THON supports the incredible work of Four Diamonds, providing families with financial relief, emotional support, and funding for groundbreaking cancer research. But it’s more than that each penny you give helps the whole of mankind. By fighting for these children today, we’re investing in a brighter, healthier future for generations to come. ✨ This is not just about raising money, it’s about saving lives. These children are the future of our world. They are the dreamers, the innovators, the leaders of tomorrow. Together, we can give them the chance to grow up, to laugh, to love, and to leave their mark on this world. We can do anything to see the smile in their small cute faces. 💛 How You Can Help: Your support means everything. A single dollar can plant the seed of hope, and no act of kindness is ever too small, so I promise if it is $1 or if it is $100, everybody who helps with fundraising will get their proper recognition, at least I'll try my level best to get them recognized somewhere. 👉 THON Donation Link https://lnkd.in/g72yu2xh? fuseaction=donorDrive.participant&participantID=116754 💙 For The Kids. For Humanity. For a Better Tomorrow. 💙 Thank you for opening your heart to this mission. Together, we are changing lives. #THON #ForTheKids #ChildhoodCancerAwareness #HopeForHumanity

12 years ago, I ran my first half-marathon for St. Jude in Nashville. At the time, I did it for selfish reasons. My college would cover the race entry cost, and I could feel accomplished officially running a half-marathon. Four weeks ago, I went to visit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital campus as a St. Jude partner with Shaw Industries. I heard patient stories that started in fear and ended with hope. I saw parents transform from helpless to supported. I heard some of the smartest minds on the planet exude purpose and humility. All of these stories were immersed in gratitude and generosity. 7 months from today, I am going to run my first St. Jude Memphis Marathon with the Shaw Floors team. I am going to raise $1,750 and am looking for other St. Jude heroes like you to make that happen, so that we can empower the awesome work being done at St. Jude to kick cancer in the teeth. I have not one, but two challenges for you: 1. Give at least a $7 donation today with this link (https://lnkd.in/eVfspqzs). Why $7? Because it’s a comfortably low number and today is May 7th and the race is December 7th. Fun fact, $1,750 / 7 = 250 which leads me to… 2. Message 3 friends to ask them give $7 as well. Join as both a giver and an advocate and collectively raise $28 to punch cancer in the face. If you do this, not only will you be fueling a mission that matters in Memphis, but you'll be helping children all over the world (St. Jude shares all their research for free — they focus on the cure more than credit). “No child should die in the dawn of life” — Danny Thomas, Founder of St. Jude. Today, you can join me in making that more than a convicting quote, but a reality for future generations. Let’s go!

Can you help me and my team? The Victory Ride to Cure Cancer is less than a month away. My legs are still not ready, so I think I might have to convince Mujteba Haidri, Scott Long, Pete Deichler, PMP, & joseph gillikin that we should put in a 50 mile training ride this weekend. That said, I'm ~$300 shy of taking the #2 spot for Top Fundraisers. Our team is currently sitting at #2 already but I'm not sure we can overtake the Biker Chicks. This speaks to the importance of building a bigger team for the 2025 ride since they've got at least 5 more on their team than we do. Since I'm reading Anthony Lee's book, Race for Greatness, I'm reading that he used to put in some strong 60 mile rides on his bike back in the day. Maybe we'll have to recruit him for the 2025 Victory Ride? I'm sure there are others in LinkedIn world who wanna join us too. (Just let me know.) If you are able to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts, I would be grateful. One hundred percent of your gift goes directly to cancer researchers. Every year, I hear stories about how someone affiliated with the Victory Ride has a family member who benefited from the research that the V-Foundation funds. Every dollar helps. You can make a secure donation at the link in the comments section. #VictoryOverCancer #CancerSucks #VictoryRide
