🔋ProLogium X FEV Group|Collaboration Video Revealed: A Glimpse into Our Battery Pack Partnership and the Future of EVs!
ProLogium's film-free next-generation battery technology has advanced from component applications to fully integrated modules and battery packs—a milestone marked by our collaboration with FEV Group. With a modular design and improved energy efficiency, these battery packs are now easy to maintain and replace at the cell level, helping to reduce repair costs and increase the resale value of used cars. This innovation means a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for consumers and paves the way for a new era in sustainable global transportation.
Dr. Thomas Hülshorst, Global Vice President Electric Powertrain at FEV, stated: “Over the past two years, our collaboration has resulted in customized battery packs and concept designs that not only meet, but exceed regulatory standards and market demands. Due to the significantly increased energy density of the LLCB cell of 321Wh/kg, the energy storage system can be designed to be smaller and lighter for a vehicle with a targeted driving range, thus reducing power and space requirements. By combining ProLogium's visionary technology with FEV's engineering strengths, we are paving the way for the future of sustainable mobility.”

Nice to see this collaboration between Volklec and UKBIC which will see the development and scale up of battery production of over 21700 battery cells here in the UK. Volklec will be developing batteries for the UK automotive & niche vehicle markets here in the UK, but are also committing to upskilling and training those workers coming into the industry.
While there was agreement late last year between the EU & UK to delay the Rules of Origin in favour of a longer transition period (3 years) this is a timely development and look forward to seeing Volklec and more companies like them succeed further supporting the UK supply chain and delivering competitive propositions.
It would also be good to see the future spin off opportunities to work on second life opportunities within battery storage to keep bring the cost of this technology down making it more widely accessible to home owners and businesses alike to further support future grid resilience and energy security.
