I was earlier this month at the University of Cambridge to meet the current Master of Finance cohort of the Cambridge Judge Business School. The session was part of the school’s 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨. During the presentation, and the dinner that followed at Downing College Cambridge, we debated a very wide variety of topics which included: * The current state of the global M&A market; * Ongoing debates around the private equity industry; * Possible ingredients for longevity in a finance career; * The prospects of the major European economies in a rapidly evolving global geopolitical landscape; * The rise of the private credit sector; and * How AI & new technologies may affect the finance industry We even exchanged fiction books recommendations 📚❤️ It was a most engaging discussion with a very diverse group of students — all of the world continents were represented except Antarctica! Many thanks to Marwa Hammam and Pedro Saffi for inviting me and being most gracious hosts on the day. A few hours spent around campus, overhearing various conversations, is always a powerful reminder of the university’s motto “𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘤 𝘭𝘶𝘤𝘦𝘮 𝘦𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘢 𝘴𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘢” or (in a non-literal way) “𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦”👩🎓🧑🎓👨🎓 Ad maiora 🚀 Find this helpful?
