Excited to have attended the CFA Society Ottawa Forecast Dinner! 📈 It was a fantastic opportunity to gain insights from industry leaders and network with fellow finance professionals. I was fortunate enough to listen to the author of "Psychology of Money", What struck me most was Housel's emphasis on the importance of embracing uncertainty and learning from failure. In a world where we often seek certainty and predictability. He differentiated between what is Expectations and Forecasting in a very interesting manner. He didn't just talk about finance; but also about human behavior, illuminating the ways in which our emotions and biases shape our financial decisions. #CFA #Finance #networking

If you're heading into the Level I CFA exam window this week, here's Richie's high-level overview of what an achievable, effective approach to your last 7 days of study might look like. Whether this works for you will depend on where you're at in your studies, whether you've covered all the curriculum yet, and how you like to study. But we get questions about how to approach the final countdown a lot in our office hours sessions, so here are some thoughts. If you have the full week off to study, you might be able to squeeze more in than what's outlined in this video. Good luck! #CFA #Finance #Investing

You turn information into knowledge through studying. You turn knowledge into wisdom through experience. Knowledge is knowing how to use a model, wisdom is knowing when not to use it… The final lecture in the Investments course at Stockholm University was held online. The students have had a lot of information thrown their way over the past few weeks. I hope it gets converted into wisdom over time.. #SBS #Stockholmbusinessschool #Stockholmuniversity #finance

The private credit market has grown significantly, reaching $1.5 trillion, and there are concerns about its potential to become a bubble. In their paper “The Credit Markets Go Dark,” Harvard Law School professor Jared Ellias and Duke University School of Law professor Elisabeth de Fontenay argue that this market is already negatively impacting the economy. They highlight that the rise of private credit is causing major shifts in corporate governance and economic dynamism. https://lnkd.in/g9DrmH-R
