Happy Veterans’ Day! I have to admit, I’ve been meaning to make this post for years. My time in service, for those that know me, was full of tremendous highs and devastating lows. When I left the service, Lord knows, I was DONE! But as time goes on, I often find myself reflecting upon my service and I find much pride when taking inventory of the many lessons learned during my time in service to my country. Here are a few that I feel are as relevant today as ever. 1. Chill out, it’s not that serious! Nothing is life or death… unless it’s life or death. 2. You’re way stronger than you believe you are. There’s nothing you can’t withstand for a Year; If not a year, a Month; If not a month, a Week; If not a week, a Day; If not a day, an Hour… Minute… Second 3. All differences can be overcome when working towards a shared goal. Sounds cliché, but I’ve seen it! 4. Control what is in your power to control. The rest is just noise! 5. Surround yourself with as many people as you can… Who are NOT like you! There’s strength in diversity – we fill each other’s gaps! This is clearly an abridged list. The lessons learned while serving in the US Army are too vast to include here. Some lessons, I’m sill only just beginning to understand. All in all, though, I’m better for having served. I’m better for the people I’ve met, the things I’ve seen, and places I’ve been. Thank you to all my fellow Veterans! Today is your day, Enjoy it!

1.14 million. It's the population of Baltimore, MD and Albuquerque, NM combined. Taylor Swift sold that many copies of her album Midnights. It's the number of millionaires living in California. Also, according to the Veterans Administration, the estimate of the number of servicemembers lost in conflicts fought by the United States. On one hand, it is altogether fitting that we should dedicate a day to remember and honor those that made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country and our allies. On the other hand, the immensity of this number and the loss it encompasses is staggering. Tragic. For each servicemember counted, there are family members and friends, platoon-, ship-, and squadron-mates that are impacted by these losses. Often for the rest of their lives. Those impacts far outlive the length of time one may know the servicemember that didn't make it home. It is certainly true for me, and I know I am not alone in this amongst my colleagues. There is often a fusion of Memorial Day and Veteran's Day in people's minds. Simply put, it is never a bad time to thank a veteran for their service, but Memorial Day isn't for those of us that remain. There is also the tendency to focus on celebrating the start of summer instead of remembering the original reason for the holiday. This is not to say we shouldn't enjoy time with family and friends. Quite the opposite. There few better ways to honor a sacrifice than celebrating what it provides. Only a humble request to add something simple to your agenda. During this time off and all the benefits to mind, body and spirit that it hopefully gives to you, consider taking a moment or two to reflect, in whatever manner you choose, on the purpose for and significance of the Memorial Day holiday

introducing Combat Boots 2 Red Bottoms VIP, Christine N. Adams. We know you will love her just as much as we do. ***************************** Time to reintroduce myself as I’ve been working behind the scene over here on something big. So hey there, everyone! I’m Christine. After 32 years of military service, I can definitely say I was ready to be my own boss and CEO of my own life. Think 32 years is a long time? Not really. In fact, it was just a warmup for me! My struggles, both in and out of military service, merely solidified my passion to serve and help others. After 4 years of going inward on my own personal journey, I am now on a mission to empower female veterans transitioning from the military by providing personalized tools and insights through the study of Gene Keys and Human Design. With these tools, I help them foster a deeper understanding of themselves and guide them toward fulfilling post military lives. I feel that combining the wisdom of Gene Keys and Human Design as self discovery tools helps create a transformative experience for female veterans, helping them navigate their transition with clarity, purpose and support. I have walked the same path with the same tools above and know it works. So it’s time to bring others on the same journey with me. This being said, I am looking for 5 to 10 female veterans to become founding members and try my program, Voyage of the Valkyrie, out. If you’ve been out for a while or getting ready to transition out of the military, this is for you! To learn more about Voyage of the Valkyrie and see if you are a good fit, schedule your Vision Call today: https://lnkd.in/g3_VUVkt
