Do nice rooftop amenities have to expensive and overly complicated? I don't think so and this is a good example. In the image we designed a series of repeating rooftop spaces each with a specific amenity, either a barbecue/outdoor eating or a fire pit/lounge space. The materials were simple, the overhead was just bistro lights, the separation was just a basic raised planter/curb. The views were great so we didn't really have to do too much or overcomplicate the design and detailing, which ultimately saved the client money. We provided multiple uses, comfortable seating and let the space stand on it's own with a few key elements mixed in. All the feedback we've seen is this place is knock out at night, even with the series of spaces they are often all full and you have to get here early to claim a spot. What do you think? Does it do the job? Loft Six Four #rooftopamenity #lesscomplicated #development #amenities #loftsixfour

We eagerly customize our cars—choosing colors, tech features, and interiors to suit our tastes—yet often overlook the same personal touch for our homes. Our homes, the spaces where we spend most of our lives, are too often left as generic, one-size-fits-all setups. Why not craft our homes to reflect who we are, just as we do with our vehicles? Personalizing a home goes beyond looks; it’s about creating spaces that support well-being, inspire joy, and reflect our identities. Imagine each room designed with intent: a cozy reading nook, a peaceful workspace, or a kitchen that fuels creativity. Your home should be your sanctuary, customized to nurture and celebrate your unique life.

Embarking on a digital transformation is like building your dream home. It’s an exciting and rewarding journey....and yes the occasional “What was I thinking”?’😅😅 Stage 1: The Blueprint Just like an architect’s plans, your digital strategy looks flawless on paper. Every process and system is designed to perfection. It’s like imagining the ultimate house , with a Brucie bonus of a slide from your bedroom to the kitchen. Perfect, right? Stage 2: The Tinkering. As construction starts, you realise the kitchen needs more cupboards, and the bathroom layout is off. In digital transformation, some good ideas just don't work when you put them into practice either. Stage 3: Taking it in stages. You don’t have to finish everything at once. Leave the utility room and outside for next year. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither is your digital empire. Stage 4: Continuous Improvement Eventually, you’ll want upgrades. That chic sofa the partner had to get? It’s out of style. Digital transformation is about continuous improvement and staying ahead of the curve with tech improvements. Digital transformation may take more work than off-the-shelf solutions, but in the end, like your dream home, you get a product that’s exactly what you wanted

In Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil, a home tucked in the rolling hills of the region, strived to have as minimal of an impact as possible on the surrounding region. The home adapts to the land, rather than having the land adapted for the home. This approach led to a harmony with nature that is reflected throughout the floor plan of the home. With strategically placed voids and an abundance of vegetation, the home is in symbiosis with its habitat. Raised up on minimal supports, the home allows for the free flow of air throughout the spaces, naturally cooling the interior spaces and allowing vegetation to grow right up to it. The building itself, uses minimal material and a simple design, which allows for less materials and a lower carbon footprint. The use of natural materials, allows for further carbon footprint reduction, and the natural materiality of the interior and exterior spaces allows the property to blend within its surroundings. Projects like this, show that we do not need to stop building beautiful architectural homes and spaces, so long as we respect the environment within which they will reside. This video illustrates how Interstruct Design + Build added a small retail building to the site of the relocated F&D Woodfired Italian Kitchen in the Hourglass, with the two businesses sharing a parking lot. This project merges all of our in-house expertise: design + build + real estate development. Though this isn't our own project to develop, we approached it as though it were, seeking every opportunity to add value to the owner. Interstruct completed the #designbuild for the #adaptivereuse to rehouse F&D Woodfired Italian Kitchen, and #designbuild on the ground-up retail building. Do you have a project in mind? Let's talk about adding value and increasing your ROI. Video by Tony Ramzy Hicks.

Beaming Boardrooms | Boardrooms don't have to be drab, lifeless spaces. Considering you conduct some of your most important business there, they should be rooms that inspire and excite. That’s why on a recent project, we went all out making this boardroom as inviting as possible! We started off with splashes of white and teal. Still suitably subdued, but something different. We got these bright dining chairs from Rockett St George, that really make the room pop! To illuminate the room, we sourced some stunning lights that were in keeping with the industrial vibe. Throw it all together, and you’ve got somewhere modern and inviting, but still recognisable as a place of business.
