I have been a subscriber since 2019 and have only had 2 bad boxes in all that time and that was the fault of UPS both times and not Butcherbox. Both times they immediately shipped a replacement box with no fuss. The meat is 99% very good with only a very rare bad cut. Since I have been with them so long I bought into the 3 “for-life” deals that were offered over that time. Those make it much more cost effective. I will say I have never been impressed with the salmon though. You end up with a lot of tail cuts it seemed to me. I do wish they would offer steelhead trout which is a much better fish in my opinion (and better for you).

Long time customer and former employee. Can’t say enough good things about this company and their deep concern for the welfare of the environment, employees, customers, farmers, ranchers, fishermen, animals and partners in the entire protein supply chain. And all of the concern and hard work results in amazingly clean and tasty proteins. If you truly knew how even the best commercially available meat, fish and fowl are produced versus how ButcherBox does it you’d be blown away by the difference. Amazing product brought to market by Amazing people, an Amazing company… yes I’m very biased!

I'm a current subscriber. I support local business every chance I can. But, when a company like Butcherbox has a superior product, a humble beginning (success story) and excellent customer service I will buy their product and be a loyal customer. I don't go cheap on food. Life it short and great food is a part of life that beings me happiness. Keep up the great job Butcherbox and thank you for what you provide!
