Sure Angelo, we will be there (Vertical Flight Society 80th Forum ie #Forum80) ... not only as visitors, but as contributor, presenting a paper about "Fault-Tolerant Electric Actuation: A Condition to Make Electric Platforms certifiable" ... as, as you know, eVTOLs certification would be all but trivial ! But while our #UMBRAGROUP paper is certainly a great one (!), amongst many other btw, the special sessions are also reasons to go and attend as such ! Few topics, as illustration : 1) NATO Next Generation Rotorcraft (#NGRC) : Cyril Heckel / NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), Dan Newman / Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, ... 2) Government Civil VTOL R&D : Arnaud Le Pape / ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab, @Noah Schiller / NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Florian Antrack / German Aerospace Center (DLR) ... 7) Challenges in Vertical Flight : Hector Xu / Rotor, Sylvain Alarie / Daedalean AI, John Piasecki / Piasecki Aircraft Corporation, Gwen Lighter / GoAERO 9) Progress in Electric VTOL : Kerry Manning, PE / Archer, Blain Newton / BETA TECHNOLOGIES, Martin Peryea / Jaunt Air Mobility, Eric Samson / Vertical Aerospace, Guillaume Beauchamp / Wisk and high-level panel discussions such as : * Straight Talk from the Top : Tomasz Krysinski / Airbus Helicopters, Michael Nault / Bell Flight, Roberto Garavaglia / Leonardo Helicopters, Paul Lemmo / Sikorsky, Matthew Hutchison / Boeing Defense, Space & Security Thrilled to see you all there ... and ... congrats to the Airbus Helicopters team for the today's first flight of innovative and game-changing high-speed helicopter #RACER ! a great milestone for the industry, and the way to go ... #ElectroMechanicalActuators #EMAs #FaultTolerantActuators #FaultTolerantActuation #WhenJammingisNOTanOption

I’ve always been fascinated by what drives top performance, either for the individual or teams. “Flow” a term first coined in the 70s and often associated with athletes, is “an optimal state of consciousness where we feel our best and perform our best”, according to peak performance expert Steven Kotler. More specifically, the term refers to those moments of rapid attention and total absorption, when you get so focused on the task at hand that everything else (e.g. time) disappears. Even more important, is how do we sustain top performance? Please join us for an inspiring session next week on the topic of State of Performance. We will be sharing insights on how organizations can unlock human potential through a framework that enables your workforce to sustain performance without comprising wellbeing. When performance and wellbeing are balanced, employees are more likely to feel: 🔌 Motivated, focused and energized to achieve goals. ⏰Confident and in control of their work. 👩❤️👩 Connected, supported, and committed to each other. It will be a great session. You can find the link to register below. Hope to see you there! #stateofperformance #flow #sustainableperfomrnace #wellbeing

Next week, March 16th marks my 65th birthday. Throughout my life, I’ve had the privilege of travelling extensively and playing a significant role in developing many technologies that have become integral to our daily lives. It’s astonishing how quickly time has passed. Reflecting on the changes I’ve seen, originating from a Northern industrial town, the transformation is profound. We’ve moved from a world devoid of electronics, AI, PCs, productivity tools like Office 365, enterprise software, the cloud, the internet, Wi-Fi, mobile phones, GPS, mass storage, supersonic flight, and space exploration to one where these innovations are integral to our daily lives. Science fiction once painted a picture of the future that seemed distant, yet now, I find myself engaging with AI on my desktop, a testament to human ingenuity. Reality unfolds in both anticipated and surprising ways. While I couldn’t have predicted the emerging technologies, they have spawned new jobs, professions, and disciplines. However, on a social level, the promise of technology providing everyone with an opportunity for a better life has not been fully realized. The optimistic predictions of a three-day workweek and multiple careers contrast sharply with today’s debates over the merits of a four-day workweek. The rhetoric often misses the point, framing reduced work hours as either detrimental to capitalism or a sign of laziness rather than recognizing the potential for improved quality of life. Looking ahead, I envision a future where AI seamlessly integrates into our personal and business lives, handling tedious tasks and freeing us to engage more deeply with the world. This shift will allow us to be less reactive and more thoughtful, providing a foundation for making well-informed decisions. The four-day workweek is on the horizon and will likely become standard within five years. Embracing this change will be essential for businesses that aim to attract and retain top talent. Advances in “background technology” will drive productivity, enabling us to accomplish in four days what took five. Do I plan to take it easy or retire? Don’t be silly; I still have too much to do and achieve. I'm Andy Age hasn’t diminished my relevance; experience has only honed my expertise. Life has taught me through victories and defeats. As your fractional Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, I possess the proven ability to drive your business’s growth. Count on me as your reliable partner. Book here https://lnkd.in/emMjKSt5
