🌍 Help Us Build a Middle School for Children in Cambodia! 🏫 Following the presentation of the SIMrise Play project, we’d now like to introduce you to SIMrise Learn!  We are a group of six Master’s students from the Strategy and International Management (SIM) program at the University of St.Gallen (HSG), united by our commitment to creating positive social impact. 🎯 Our Goal:
In collaboration with the Swiss NGO Smiling Gecko, our mission is to transform education in the Kampong Chhnang region of Cambodia. Specifically, we are working to:  - Conduct hands-on workshops for children on topics such as financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and global business to inspire curiosity and growth  - Raise funds for the construction of a middle school to expand access to quality education, helping to break the cycle of poverty By supporting education, we aim to empower young minds, uplift communities, and create sustainable change. 🤝 How you can support us:

The Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation in recent times have embarked on various programs aimed at ameliorating the condition of the poor and needy in the society. In the past 30-days the foundation embarked on two key programs; 1. Back to school support 2. #10,000 support to 600 Persons (August and September 2024) These programs were quite successful as the foundation directly supported over 4,000. We provided 1,200 individuals with 10,000 naira each and distributed back-to-school packs to children, helping them start the school year with confidence. With 20 million naira invested in our community, we are committed to touching lives, one person at a time. Hi everyone, we need your support to raise funds to keep this school FREE OF CHARGE!! On 6th October, we are challenging ourselves by running a half marathon to raise funds for Cahaya Logos Christian High School in Mentawai, Indonesia, through the Cahaya Logos Organisation. The funds will be used towards day-to-day school operational costs to ensure this school can stay FREE OF CHARGE for the students. This school has been operational since March 2024 and has not charged any school fees to the students. We want to maintain it this way and we need your financial support! This half marathon is going to be quite a challenge as well for us, considering that three months ago, we weren’t runners at all. Every step and every morning training we take is to focus our mind on our goal — both the finish line and supporting a better future for kids in Mentawai. We are choosing this cause because we believe that we have to empower and invest in the next generation through educations. Why Cahaya Logos? We personally know the founder of the organisation Jemmy Suhadi who is also a Christian Pastor in Jakarta, and we want to support his concepts where he provides free education for the family in need. We believe that education is the key to unlocking potential and breaking the cycle of poverty. By helping with this school project, we are investing in the next generation of Mentawai children, giving them the chance to learn, grow, and build a brighter future for themselves and their community. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and education is the basic necessity for them to do so. Our partnership aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.” Education alone isn't enough, so we also support initiatives linked to SDG 8—Decent Work and Economic Growth. In Kenya, nearly 70% of households rely on farming as their primary source of income. Unfortunately, in the last decades, we have seen a decline in agricultural output due to climate change, with this year being particularly devastating due to widespread flooding. This has led to the displacement of thousands and significant damage to the livelihoods of countless farming families. The impact extends beyond the fields and into classrooms. As farming income diminishes, many families in rural areas are finding it increasingly difficult to afford even the modest tuition fees required for primary education. As students prepare to return to school, the reality is stark: some may have to forego their education over fees as low as 30 dollars. At Kosi Africa, we believe in the right of every child to access quality education. We are dedicated to ensuring that financial barriers caused by unforeseen environmental crises do not hinder a child's learning journey. 🌟 Bringing Education and Opportunity to Rural Cambodia 📚🚲 Education has the power to change lives, but for many children in rural Cambodia, it remains out of reach. Long distances, unsafe travel routes, and a lack of resources often prevent kids from attending school regularly. As part of the SIMagination Challenge, our team Insight Cambodia is committed to making education accessible for children in rural areas. Here’s what we’re doing: 📚 Building Libraries: We’re creating spaces where children can learn, explore, and grow academically. These libraries will provide learning resources that are essential for the childrens’ education. 🚲 Providing Bicycles: Many children face unsafe or long commutes to school. By providing bicycles, we’re helping ensure they can attend class consistently and safely, rain or shine. Our initiative focuses on Siem Reap, where dropout rates are high, especially in primary schools. Through partnerships with the local NGO Kamboo Project, we’re working directly with the community to meet their needs and create sustainable change. But we can’t do this alone.
